The Best Hotels Near Juhu Beach for Budget-Minded Stays

Aug 15, 2026 · Aug 15, 2026

Five hotels near Juhu Beach compared by stated distance, facilities and trade-offs, with a table and one pick per traveller type. Mumbai budget guide.

The Best Hotels Near Juhu Beach for Budget-Minded Stays

India

Where you sleep near Juhu Beach is settled by three conditions: which airport and terminal your flight uses, whether the beach or the evening programme is the point of the trip, and how many rupees a day you can spend moving between the two. It depends: on your flight first, on your daily transport spend second, and on the festival calendar third. I compared five hotels on their stated distances and listed facilities, and every one carries a trade-off that I name below. A comparison table and one pick per traveller type close the guide.

What settles the choice

Start with the airport. Terminal 1 at BOM stopped flights on 25 October 2026, and Navi Mumbai International is a separate airport across the harbour, so read your ticket before any hotel list. Next comes movement cost: the Aqua Line charges Rs 10 minimum and Rs 70 for the whole line, a BEST bus starts at Rs 10, and a metered taxi starts at Rs 33 for the first 1.5 km. Last is tax: room GST is 5% up to Rs 7,500 a night and 18% above. Juhu sits in the K/West ward with Andheri West and Vile Parle West. For the wider field, see all accommodations in Mumbai.

Beach side: Juhu Beach and the Versova stretch

Juhu Beach, Mumbai

Juhu is a long city beach with snack stalls, film-star bungalows, Prithvi Theatre and the Versova fishing village, and Metro Line 1 starts at Versova. It is also an immersion point during Ganesh Chaturthi. Many Mumbai beaches have no warning flags or lifeguard equipment, so treat this as a walking and snacking beach and follow lifeguard instructions. At the museum door where I worked nights, visitors asked 'is it open today?' far more than 'is it good?'. I apply the same test here: choose the base that makes tomorrow's plan simple.

Hotel Bb House

Pick for the beach side: Hotel BB House, in the Andheri district, is 2.9 km from Juhu Beach, the shortest beach distance of the five.

  • Gains: air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, a safety deposit box and a private shower in every room, plus a 24-hour front desk, room service and free WiFi.
  • Trades: the airport is 9 km away, Powai Lake 12 km and Phoenix Market City Mall 13 km.

My pick for a beach-first trip, and the one I would book myself. Details sit on this hotels near Juhu Beach page.

Theatre side: Prithvi Theatre and the ISKCON corridor

Prithvi Theatre is the city's small playhouse in Juhu, a thrust-stage room where booking ahead is recommended. It suits rainy evenings, since the programme runs indoors. Its listing shows the box office closed on Mondays, so ask the desk (+91 99201 16930) which play runs on the night you land and what hours the counter keeps that week. The beach and the theatre are different parts of Juhu, which is why I treat this as its own zone: staying here buys evenings, not sand. Sunset walks cost nothing; a seat costs rupees, so budget it as the one fixed evening spend.

Ram Niwas Hotel

INR2271 per night

Pick for evenings at the theatre: Ram Niwas Hotel is 3.5 km from ISKCON and 4.1 km from Prithvi Theatre, with the airport 4 km away.

  • Gains: air-conditioned family rooms with private bathrooms, spa baths, bathrobes and work desks, an on-site restaurant and room service.
  • Trades: Phoenix Market City Mall is 8 km off, Powai Lake 9 km, and the beach itself needs a metered taxi, Rs 33 minimum.

My pick when the plan is plays plus a short airport run: property page ->

Festival weeks: when the beach changes

Ganesh Chaturthi ran 14 to 25 September 2026, with immersions at Girgaon Chowpatty, Juhu and Dadar; about 84 major roads were closed on immersion day in 2025, and the metro ran until midnight in 2026. Holi (Dhulivandan) fell on 3 March 2026, with colour play in housing societies, on beaches and at Juhu. Lunar dates move every year, and festival periods are peak demand for rooms. Before you book, call the Ministry of Tourism helpline, 1800 11 1363, and ask which dates in your travel week carry road closures. Festival nights favour a base reachable by metro, not by road.

Next zone south: Bandra West and Khar

Basilica of Our Lady of the Mount, Bandra

Bandra West is the 'queen of the suburbs': old Catholic villages, the sea-front Bandstand, Bandra Fort and Mount Mary Basilica. Sunday morning brings mass at the basilica and quiet lanes, which is the hour I would walk it. Khaki Tours runs a Bandra Walk of 2 h 30 min at Rs 1,199 per person, and Bandra4Kids of 1 h 30 min at Rs 699. The Bandra Fair ran 13 to 20 September 2026 with sweet and candle stalls on Mount Mary Road. None of the five hotels sits here, so treat Bandra as a day trip, not a base.

North zone: Goregaon and the Harbour line

Goregaon, in the P/South ward, holds Film City and the NESCO exhibition centre, and the Harbour line from CSMT ends here. This is the zone to choose when an exhibition or a studio visit sets your dates and Juhu is the side trip. The cost logic is plain: a base beside the event saves the taxi, a base beside the beach saves it the other way round, and you cannot have both. Metered taxis start at Rs 33 for the first 1.5 km and add Rs 21.90 per km after.

Hotel Riva International Goregaon- Near Nesco

INR3122 per night

★ 3

Pick for Goregaon exhibitions: Hotel Riva International Goregaon, near Nesco, Noor Masjid and Central Mall, is 9 km from the airport.

  • Gains: air conditioning, work desks, soundproofing, free WiFi, a lounge, a 24-hour front desk and a vegetarian and Asian breakfast.
  • Trades: the shortest facility list of the five (WiFi, front desk, AC, breakfast), and Juhu becomes a separate ride.

My pick only when the event is next door: Google Travel listing ↗

Airport zone: Santacruz, Sahar and the Aqua Line

Terminal 1 stopped flights on 25 October 2026, so departures cluster at Terminal 2, which has its own Aqua Line station under the building. The line also serves Santacruz Metro, CSMI Airport T1 and Sahar Road, with a train about every 5 min 55 s. Ask the station desk for the first and last trains of your travel day rather than trusting a remembered figure. About a third of international flights moved to Navi Mumbai from 1 October 2026, and a free shuttle links the two airports every hour. For a dawn departure, distance to the terminal outweighs distance to the sea.

Hotel Silver Park

INR2649 per night

Pick for early flights: Hotel Silver Park lists the airport 1 km away and Phoenix Market City Mall a 5-minute walk.

  • Gains: a paid airport shuttle, free private parking, a terrace, a lift, laundry, and rooms with a sofa, dining table, work desk and soundproofing.
  • Trades: Powai Lake is 7 km and IIT Bombay 9 km away, and Juhu Beach is a separate taxi or metro trip.

My pick for a dawn departure: Tripadvisor reviews ->

East zone: Powai Lake and the long-stay option

Powai is a lakeside planned neighbourhood with IIT Bombay and business hotels, between the airport and Thane, in the S ward with Powai Lake and Hiranandani Gardens. Hotel BB House lists Powai Lake at 12 km, which sizes the gap: Powai is a separate day of travel from Juhu, not a detour. Choose it for a stay of weeks, where parking, laundry and a serviced apartment cut daily spend by more than a beach commute costs. For three nights, I would not.

Relohomes Serviced Apartment

INR11069 per night

8.8 Fabulous · 121 reviews ★ 4

Pick for long stays: Relohomes Serviced Apartment is a 4-star property near Hiranandani Gardens and Powai B Wing, 5 km from the airport.

  • Gains: garden, free on-site parking, free WiFi, private check-in, concierge, laundry, family rooms, a children's playground and an Asian breakfast with local specialities.
  • Trades: the airport shuttle is paid, and the beach is a long cross-city ride.

My pick for a month rather than a weekend: official site ->

Food on a fixed daily budget

Cost for two near Juhu runs from about Rs 400 at Namma in Andheri to about Rs 700 at the Juhu branch of Dakshinayan, or at Chaitanya's Versova outlet for Malvani fish thalis. Pratap The Dhaba in Oshiwara is about Rs 1,000, and Mahesh Lunch Home on Juhu Tara Road about Rs 2,000. On the sand, vada pav and bhel puri are the cheap meals; eat at busy stalls where the food is cooked in front of you and drink bottled water. My rule: one sit-down meal a day, two stall meals, and the saving pays for the theatre seat.

Picks by traveller type

  • Beach first: Hotel BB House, 2.9 km from the sand.
  • Plays and temple side: Ram Niwas Hotel.
  • Early flight: Hotel Silver Park, 1 km from the airport.
  • Month-long stay: Relohomes, with parking and a serviced apartment.
  • Goregaon events: Hotel Riva International.

My own choice is Hotel BB House: the shortest beach distance of the five, air conditioning and a room safe, and Metro Line 1 from Versova as the cheap backbone. This guide is unsponsored; no hotel paid for a place in it. Prices and availability can change, so confirm when booking, and compare Mumbai hotels and apartments before you commit.
