Chinese Government Scholarship

The Ministry of Education of China has entrusted the China Scholarship Council (hereinafter referred to as the "China Scholarship Council") to be responsible for the admission and management of Chinese government scholarship students. The university undertakes the task of training Chinese government scholarship students.

The application process for the Chinese Government Scholarship (non-university independent enrollment program) is as follows:

Step 1: Apply to the government department, relevant agency, or Chinese embassy (consulate-general) in the country where the applicant is located, and obtain the qualifications for a recommendation of Chinese government scholarship students;

Step 2: Log in to the "Chinese Government Scholarship Management Information System for Studying in China", click the "Online Application Student Entrance" icon to enter, and complete the online application process. The website is as follows:

Step 3: Students complete other application procedures required by the China Scholarship Council;

Step 4: The China Scholarship Council sends a list of recommenders and information to Beijing Foreign Studies University, and Beijing Foreign Studies University is responsible for reviewing and making admission decisions;

Step 5: Beijing Foreign Studies University informs the prospective students to log in to the school's international student online service system to register, select the "Chinese Government Scholarship" registration channel, and complete the online information application process as required.

Step 6: The school will issue formal admission materials to the students who have completed the online application and meet the admission criteria of our school and submit them to the China Scholarship Council. The Scholarship Council will send the admission materials to the Chinese embassy or other scholarship acceptance agency in the country where the student is located. Relevant institutions issue admission materials to students.

Note:

1. The operating instructions of the "Chinese Government Scholarship Management Information System for Studying in China" and the "Accepting Agency Number" can be consulted and obtained from the dispatching department of the foreign student's home country;

2. The China Scholarship Council does not accept direct applications from individuals. The China Scholarship Council reserves the right to make necessary adjustments to the institutions of applicants who have not received the pre-admission notice;
