Our school won the "2019 Beijing University Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Overseas Chinese Student Activities Excellent Publicity Award"

At the beginning of the new year, on the afternoon of January 3, the 2019 Annual Meeting of Beijing Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Overseas Chinese Students Education Management Research Branch was held in the Peking University Medical Department. Leaders of the Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Affairs Office of the Ministry of Education and representatives from 38 universities in Beijing attended the meeting. Based on the positive contributions of the International College and timely and effective reporting of the progress and achievements of our school’s education and training of overseas Chinese students from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology won the "2019 Beijing University Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Overseas Chinese Student Activities Excellent Publicity Award". Zhang Wei, director of the Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Affairs Office of Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, and Zhang Haixia, publicity officer of the International Academy, attended the meeting.

Participating leaders delivered speeches successively, and then awarded awards to the units that performed well in the Beijing Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Overseas Chinese Student Activities in 2019. As one of the governing units, the Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology won the Excellent Publicity Award of the year. The universities that have won the award include Beijing Jiaotong University, Beijing University of Technology, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Central University of Finance and Economics, Central Academy of Fine Arts, Central Academy of Drama, Beijing Film Academy, Beijing Dance Academy, and Beijing Union University.

 

 

Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology conscientiously implements the national guidelines and policies for Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan overseas Chinese. It recruits nearly 30 students in four categories, including Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Overseas Chinese Association admissions, Hong Kong exemption students, Taiwanese students, and Macao students. In accordance with the principles of convergent management and proper care, the school earnestly cares about students’ study and life, strengthens basic course hours in teaching, allocates excellent Chinese and foreign teachers, strengthens education on national conditions, takes courses as the main channel, and supplements with a large number of extracurricular practices to cultivate students’ understanding of the mainland, The emotional concept of loving the motherland. In 2019, the International College organized all freshmen to take high-speed trains to Haining Kunshan enterprises, innovation parks, and materials distribution centers for on-site teaching, allowing Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan overseas students to witness and experience the development of the mainland with their own eyes. At the same time, it also played a professional knowledge internship effect. Do multiple things in one fell swoop. In conjunction with major commemorative activities such as celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 60th anniversary of the school, as well as during the period of welcome, graduation, festivals, holidays, etc., carry out patriotic and school-loving education, and use a variety of activities to guide students to devote themselves to their studies and establish their aspirations to serve the country. Enhance the sense of national honor and belonging. The International College recorded and reported this work in a timely manner, which won the attention both inside and outside the school.

In the new year, our school will make persistent efforts and continue to write a new chapter in the education and management of overseas Chinese students from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan.
