Foreign guests from Arizona State University came to our school to discuss cooperation

On the morning of March 22, 2019, Craig, Dean of the School of Nursing and Health Management Innovation at Arizona State University, and Angela of the International Division came to our school to discuss cooperation with the dean of the school, Huang Weiqing. Rao Jianjun, Director of the Office of the College, and Xu Fang, Deputy Director of the Department of Nursing, participated in the negotiation.

First, the two parties introduced the general situation of their respective schools to each other. Dean Craig introduced the basic situation of Arizona State University (ASU). Founded in 1885, ASU is a well-known comprehensive research public university with about 110,000 students and 22 colleges. The School of Nursing and Health Management Innovation is on its Phoenix campus, located in the capital of Arizona. The college cooperates with the Mayo Clinic to provide flexible education for working professionals. Huang Weiqing introduced the basic situation of our hospital and the establishment of various majors.

Then, the two parties conducted cooperation negotiations on the following three aspects. The first is the cooperation in the improvement of students’ academic qualifications, which takes the form of “3+1” or “5+2” to connect with ASU University. After obtaining a college degree in our college, students will go to ASU University to study for 1-2 years and obtain an ASU undergraduate degree. Educational background. The second is to organize student exchange activities such as study tours and summer camps in the summer to broaden the international vision of our students. The third is the training of teachers, which takes the form of using ASU University's online courses as the main form to provide basic theories of teaching and related professional theories to our college teachers. The two parties conducted in-depth discussions on the feasibility of cooperation, cooperation methods, cooperation channels, cooperation scope, and linguistic system requirements in the above three aspects.

Finally, the two parties stated that after the meeting, they would provide each other with the required relevant information in accordance with their respective needs, combined with relevant domestic laws, regulations and policies, to further explore and research cooperation methods, and promote the agreement of the two parties' cooperation intentions.
