Country-specific bilateral project scholarship
"Country-specific Bilateral Programs" are full scholarships or partial scholarships based on educational cooperation and exchange agreements or consensus reached between China and relevant governments, institutions, schools, and international organizations.
(1) Type of funding, duration, and language of instruction
1. Funding categories: including undergraduates, postgraduates, doctoral students, general scholars, and senior scholars. For details, please consult the international student dispatch department of your country.
2. Teaching language: Chinese or English.
3. Study period: including the period of professional study and Chinese tuition (preparatory course).
(2) Funding content
Including full scholarship and partial scholarship. For details, see "Introduction to Chinese Government Scholarships" by the China Scholarship Council.

(3) Application acceptance agency and application time
1. Application acceptance agency: international student dispatching agencies in various countries.
2. Application time: generally from November to April.
For a specific time, please check with the international student dispatch department of your home country and pay attention to the latest admissions guidelines of Beijing Normal University.
(4) Application conditions
1. Must meet the requirements in the admissions guide for international students of Beijing Normal University
2. Students who apply for the Chinese-taught graduate program will not provide Chinese tuition courses
3. No other scholarship funding
4. Educational background and age requirements:
- Those who come to China to study undergraduate majors must have a high school diploma, excellent grades, and be under the age of 25;
- Those who come to China to study for a master's degree must have a bachelor's degree and be under the age of 35;
- Those who come to China to study for a doctoral degree must have a master's degree and be under the age of 40;
- Those who come to China as general scholars must have a high school diploma or above, and be under the age of 45;
- Those who come to China to study as advanced scholars must have a master's degree or above or associate professor or above, and be under the age of 50.
(5) Application process
1. Apply to the international student dispatching department of your country and obtain the qualification for recommendation;
2. Applicants should carefully read the Beijing Normal University International Student Admissions Procedures and prepare application materials according to the admissions procedures; at the same time, log in to the "International Student Online Service System" of Beijing Normal University, register a personal account, fill in and submit the Beijing Normal University registration form online (obtained) (Students with qualifications recommended by the foreign student dispatching department of their home country are exempt from paying the registration fee);
3. Log in to the "Chinese Government Scholarship Management Information System for Studying in China" (login to http://www.csc.edu.cn/studyinchina or http://www.campuschina.org, and then click the "Online Application Student Entrance" icon to enter ), fill in and submit the application information online, and print the "Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form". The operating instructions of the "Chinese Government Scholarship Management Information System for Studying in China" and the "Accepting Agency Number" can be consulted and obtained from the overseas student dispatching department of the country;
4. Submit the application materials to the international student dispatch department of your home country and Beijing Normal University within the specified time.
(6) Application materials
1. One original copy of the admission application form for international students (download and print after online registration, please affix a photo and be signed by the applicant and the guarantor);
2. "Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form" (Chinese or English);
3. Notarized highest education certificate. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations. Students in school must submit a certificate of enrollment issued by their school;
4. Academic transcripts. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations;
5. One copy of the personal statement (Master's or Ph.D.; print it out after filling out, please sign by the applicant);
6. Study or research plan in China. Write in Chinese or English. No less than 200 words for undergraduate students, no less than 500 words for advanced students, and no less than 800 words for graduate students;
7. Letter of recommendation. Applicants for master's and doctoral degrees and those who apply to study in China as advanced scholars must submit two letters of recommendation from professors or associate professors, written in Chinese or English;
8. Students who apply for music majors must submit CDs of their own works; students who apply for fine arts majors must provide 2 sketches, 2 color paintings, and 2 CDs of other works;
9. Applicants under the age of 18 must submit relevant legal documents of their legal guardian in China;
10. Applicants who have studied in China for more than 6 months must submit a copy of the "Foreigner Physical Examination Form". Applicants should strictly follow the required items in the "Physical Examination Form for Foreigners" to conduct inspections. The "Foreigner Physical Examination Form" that is missing, does not have a photo of the person affixed, or the photo is not stamped with a seam seal, is not signed and stamped by a physician or hospital, is invalid. Because the examination result is valid for 6 months, the applicant is requested to determine the time for the physical examination accordingly;
11. Students applying for Chinese-taught programs must provide HSK certificates, and students applying for English-taught programs must provide proof of language proficiency. For specific language requirements, please refer to the Beijing Normal University International Student Admissions Guide;
12. A copy of the passport, the passport must be an ordinary passport within the validity period;
13. The above materials should be bound into a book in the upper left corner in the above order. The application materials will not be returned regardless of whether they are admitted or not.
(7) Admission and notification
1. The China Scholarship Council reviews whether scholarship applicants meet the application requirements. Applicants who do not meet the requirements or application materials that do not meet the requirements will not be accepted;
2. Applicants who have been admitted to Beijing Normal University can receive Chinese government scholarships to study in China after they have been approved by the China Scholarship Council. Each scholarship recipient can only receive funding from one Chinese government scholarship program;
3. Scholarship recipients are not allowed to change the admission institution, major of study, and study period stated in the "Admission Notice" after coming to China;
4. Scholarship qualifications will not be reserved for those who cannot come to China to study within the time limit for admission.
