(2) Application qualifications

1. Non-Chinese citizens with good conduct, good health, high school or above, in line with the relevant provisions of the Nationality Law of the People’s Republic of China, and holding a valid foreign passport;

2. Be 18 years old as of December 31, 2021;

3. According to the Ministry of Education [2020] Document No. 12, if both or one of the parents are Chinese citizens and settled in a foreign country, the person who has foreign nationality at birth does not have Chinese nationality. Starting from 2021, their application as an international student to enter the undergraduate level of our colleges and universities, in addition to meeting the school’s other registration qualifications, must also hold a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate before April 30, 2017, and Have a record of actual residence in a foreign country for more than 2 years between April 30, 2017, and April 30, 2021 (The actual residence in a foreign country for 9 months in a year can be calculated as one year, with entry and exit signatures Prevail).

4. Residents of Mainland China (Mainland), Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan who apply for undergraduate study as an international student after immigrating and obtaining foreign nationality should meet the requirements of holding a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for 4 years (as of 2017) April 30), and there is a record of actual residence in a foreign country for more than 2 years between April 30, 2017, and April 30, 2021 (the actual residence in a foreign country for 9 months in a year can be counted as one year, Subject to entry and exit signatures).


(3) Admission process

Submit materials → review materials → admission → send out "Admission Notice" and "Visa Application Form for Studying in China" (JW202 Form) → apply for X1 visa at the Chinese embassy (consulate) → register

*It will take at least 8-10 weeks from the application deadline to the issuance of the admission information. During this period, we will notify you to complete all the application materials, review and evaluate the application materials, and organize the necessary review. Those who pass the application materials and review will be admitted by the school. The admission notice and other materials will be issued in June 2021. After admission, the school will review the applicant's information and materials. If there is any violation or fraud, the admission qualification will be canceled immediately upon verification. We will try our best to get you admission information as soon as possible, but due to limited staff, we may not be able to respond to your letter or email soon.


(4) Application materials

1. Required materials:

① "Application Form for Undergraduate Admission for Foreign Students of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine" (download from the college's official website)

②A copy of the passport information page (the passport must be an ordinary passport valid within 6 months from the date of applying);

③Full-time high school and above graduation documents (new graduates can first provide the expected graduation certificate), which must be original or notarized, and the language is Chinese or English;

④Transcripts (including at least one of the following), must be original or notarized copies, in Chinese or English:

  • Official transcripts of all courses provided by the school with the highest degree (original or notarized copies in Chinese and English);
  • National/region unified high school graduation examination transcript;
  • Internationally accepted standardized test scores (such as SAT/ACT/A-Level/AP/IB/STPM, etc.);

⑤Birth certificate or nationality identification document for 4 years of naturalization;

⑥Proof of language proficiency:

  • Teaching in Chinese: Applicants whose native language is not Chinese shall submit the new HSK Level 4 (inclusive) or higher certificate;
  • Bilingual teaching: applicants whose native language is not English should provide TOEFL/IELTS or other English proficiency score certificates;

⑦Interview video (about 5 minutes of self-introduction video material); some students need online video interviews.

⑧Certificate of payment of registration fee or screenshot of successful online remittance;

*Once the registration fee is paid, it will not be refunded. The registration fee will not be refunded if you are not admitted or misreported to a learning project that does not meet the application qualifications. Applicants are advised to consult with the International College Admissions Office for eligibility and other admission requirements before applying by paying the registration fee.

(6) Available scholarships

1. Chinese Government Scholarship

Application time: from the beginning of January to the beginning of April each year

How to apply: Go to the website of the China Scholarship Council to get the latest scholarship information and apply. Applicants can also consult Chinese embassies and consulates abroad for relevant information.


2. Beijing Scholarship for Foreign Students

Application time: January-June 2021

How to apply: Self-financed international students who meet the qualifications for registration can apply, and students with excellent results after expert review can receive scholarships.
