Chinese Government Scholarship
1. Enrollment Prospects
Full-time students for Masters or Doctoral programs.
The application for the undergraduate scholarship is through the local Chinese embassy or consulate. The application time is usually from November to April every year. For more information about the future of undergraduate scholarship, please visit your local Chinese Embassy / Consulate.
2. Scope and Duration of Scholarship
2.1 Students receive tuition and accommodation waivers.
2.2 Students receive a living stipend which is 3,000 RMB per month for master students or 3,500 RMB per month for doctoral students.
2.3 Students receive full coverage on accidents and emergencies and outpatient Students Medical Insurance (800 RMB per person per year).
2.4 Only international students who are not currently studying in China are eligible for the scholarship.
2.5 Duration of the scholarship aligns with the study time of the target disciplinary program.
3. Qualifications of Applicants
3.1 Applicant must be a citizen of nations other than China and in good health condition.
3.2 Education and Age Requirements:
Applicants for master's programs should hold a bachelor's degree and should not be older than 35 years of age upon time of application.
Applicants for doctoral programs should hold a master's degree and should not be older than 40 years of age upon time of application.
3.3 Applicants should provide excellent grade reports.
3.4 Applicants should show excellent ability in conducting research.
3.5 Applicants should not hold any scholarship of other categories upon period of application.
4. Application Materials and Procedure
Applicants should register on the website of the China Scholarship Council (CSC) and fill out the information and upload all required application materials online by March 31st, 2019. The required application materials include the following:
4.1 The Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form. Please visit https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/
to register and complete the Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form. Choose Type B
4.2 Two letters of reference from scholars with an associate professor or higher positions.
4.3 A statement of Purpose.
4.4 Original Transcript and Diploma of the highest Degree. A notarized copy of the translated version should be submitted if the original Diploma is in non-English or Chinese. The details are as follows.
(1) Applicants for the master’s program should provide an original transcript of the undergraduate study and original undergraduate diploma and degree.
(2) Applicants for the doctoral program should provide an original transcript of the master's student, original master's diploma and degree, and an abstract of the Master's thesis.
(3) Applicants who will graduate in 2019 should provide a study certificate from the university. When admitted, applicants should submit their original diploma and degree or a notarized copy upon enrollment. The admission will be revoked if otherwise. Applicants who are working must provide a work certificate.
4.5 HSK Score report or other Chinese language certificates.
4.6 Originals or copies of academic publications, patents, and other academic achievements.
4.7 Two passport-size photos.
4.8 Applicants’ valid passport.
4.9《Foreigner Physical Examination Form》, which is issued by the Chinese Quarantine Authority and only for those who plan to study in China for longer than six months. Applicants must fill out the form in English and complete all the items listed on the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. The form is invalid should there be incomplete records or without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicants. The medical examination results are valid for 6 months, thus, applicants should carefully schedule the time for the medical examination.
Notes: All application materials and the application fee will not be returned despite the applicants’ admission status.
5. Admissions Notice :
BUT will organize internal experts to review application materials for approval. After which Admission Notice and Visa Application Form (JW201) will be sent to successful applicants. please check your Email and Application system for the result.
All accepted applicants must pay an application fee in the amount of 500 RMB upon their arrival for registration and enrollment.
