Admissions Guide for Degree Programs

Generally, undergraduate students should complete all required credits within 6 years of admission (for sculpture and architecture, the maximum study time is 7 years). Master's degree students can stay in the program for 5 years. Doctoral candidates can stay in the program for 6 years (except for students studying Chinese).

International Master of Contemporary Art

The International MFA Program of the China Academy of Art was formulated to respond to the rapidly developing art world. The mission of the International MFA Program (IMFA) of the China Academy of Art (CAA) is to introduce the world's most promising young artists to the new world of contemporary art, in which creativity and expression techniques from all over the world participate in the creation. Art as important and innovative as the contemporary world. Faculty and staff from Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Oceania, and the Americas have provided a new perspective for joining this bold new program.

The IMFA course explores emerging paradigms such as relationships, multiculturalism, social practice, and extended media, which have defined the most exciting contemporary art in the world over the past 25 years. It also considers the traditional creative practices of various cultural traditions, especially in studio art, public art, and contemporary art theory.
