Undergraduate major introduction

1. Clinical Medicine (Chinese/English Teaching)

Professional profile: This major was established in November 1931. Currently model professional Liaoning Province, in December 2011 by a clinical professional certification Jiaoyu Bu organizations. This major currently has four national key disciplines, a national experimental teaching demonstration center, a national off-campus practical education base for college students, and 38 national key clinical specialty construction projects, which provide high-quality conditions for students to receive professional education.

 

Main courses: including human anatomy, tissue embryology, cell biology, regional anatomy, biochemistry, physiology, medical genetics, medical immunology, pathophysiology, pathogenic biology, pathology, pharmacology, social medicine, medicine Ethics, Biostatistics, Hygiene, Clinical Pharmacology, Diagnostics, Basic Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Stomatology, Otolaryngology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Nuclear Medicine, Psychology There are 36 courses in medicine and psychiatry, internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, infectious disease, neurology, neurosurgery, clinical epidemiology, forensic medicine and toxicology.

 

Graduation and degree award: Students who have completed all courses required by the major and passed the grades are allowed to graduate. Meet the degree-granting standards set by the school and grant a bachelor's degree in medicine.

 

2. Stomatology (Chinese / English teaching)

Professional Overview: The stomatology education in our school began in 1948. The stomatology specialty was officially added in 1979 , the Department of Stomatology was established in 1985 , and the School of Stomatology was established in 1988. Our school's stomatology major is a first-class characteristic discipline of Liaoning Province, a characteristic major of Liaoning Province, and a pilot program for comprehensive undergraduate reform in ordinary colleges and universities in Liaoning Province. The Stomatology Teaching Center is the experimental teaching demonstration center of Liaoning Province and the clinical skill training base for college students in Liaoning Province. Periodontology and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery are key clinical specialty construction projects of the National Health and Family Planning Commission. In December 2014, it passed the dental medicine professional certification organized by the Ministry of Education. In the Ministry of Education's assessment of stomatology disciplines in colleges and universities across the country, our school of stomatology ranks eighth.

3. Nursing (taught in Chinese)

Professional Overview: This major was established in 1984 and enrolled students since 1985. It is an undergraduate nursing major established earlier in China. In 2000, it was approved for master's degree authorization; in 2011, it was approved for the doctoral degree; in 2014, it was approved as a post-doctoral mobile station, which has formed a multi-level talent training system for undergraduates, masters, and doctors. This major is a national characteristic specialty, a model specialty of Liaoning Province, a characteristic subject of Liaoning Province, and has been approved as a "National Nursing Training Center".

 

Main courses: basic medicine, nursing, humanities and social sciences, public health and preventive health care, human anatomy, histology and embryology, biochemistry, physiology, pathogenic biology, basic pathology, pharmacology, health assessment, basic nursing There are 22 disciplines including medicine, internal medicine nursing, surgical nursing, obstetrics and gynecology nursing, pediatric nursing, nursing psychology, psychiatric nursing, nursing management, nursing research, and community nursing.

 

Graduation and degree award: Students who have completed all courses required by the major and passed the grades are allowed to graduate. Meet the degree-granting standards set by the school and grant a Bachelor of Science degree.

Registration conditions

1. Non-Chinese citizens holding a valid ordinary foreign passport; in good health, meet the requirements for visa or residence permit in China; no violations of discipline, no public security penalties, no criminal acts and records, friendly to China, good conduct, and abiding by Chinese laws And school rules and regulations, respect the customs and habits of the Chinese people.

 

2. After immigrating to a foreign country, Chinese citizens who apply to enter the undergraduate and junior colleges of higher education as foreign students must hold a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for more than 4 years (inclusive), and the most recent 4 years (as of April of the enrollment year) Within 30 days), there is a record of actual residence abroad for more than 2 years (the actual residence abroad for 9 months in a year can be calculated as one year, subject to entry and exit signatures).

 

3. If both or one of the parents are Chinese citizens and settled in a foreign country, and the person has foreign nationality at birth, he does not have Chinese nationality. Starting from 2021, their application as an international student to enter the undergraduate level of our colleges and universities, in addition to meeting the school’s other registration qualifications, should also hold a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for more than 4 years (inclusive), and the most recent 4 years Have a record of actual residence in a foreign country for more than 2 years within the year (until April 30 of the enrollment year) (the actual residence in a foreign country for 9 months in a year can be calculated as one year, subject to entry and exit stamps).

 

4. Applicants for courses taught in Chinese must reach HSK Level 4 (inclusive) or above in Chinese.

 

5. Applicants for English-taught majors are not required to have Chinese proficiency when applying for admission but must pass HSK Level 4 before clinical practice. If the native language or official language is not English, the international English proficiency test scores (IELTS, TOEFL, etc.) must be provided.

 

6. Graduated from formal high school or above.

 

7. Age 18-25 years old.

 

8. Have studied physics, chemistry, and biology in high school, and the grades are in the upper-middle class.

 

Application materials

1. Passport page (home page, last entry and exit stamp page, blank page).

 

2. The original foreign language and Chinese notarized copies of the high school graduation certificate and transcript ( students who intend to graduate must provide the expected graduation certificate, and the original graduation certificate or supporting materials must be submitted when enrolled ) . Indian applicants must provide the 12th academic year examination admission ticket.

 

3. Financial guarantee certificate and bank deposit certificate.

 

4. International English proficiency test score certificate (provided by applicants for English-taught majors whose native language or official language is not English).  

 

5. International Chinese Proficiency Test score certificate (provided by applicants for Chinese-taught majors).

 

6. For applicants under the age of 18 and whose parents are not residents in China, their parents must formally entrust a foreigner or Chinese resident in China as the guardian of the international student and provide relevant entrusted materials.

 

7. Applicants who are in China at the time of application, in addition to the above materials, also need to provide: passport residence permit page, transfer certificate / no objection certificate/graduation certificate, original school transcript, accommodation registration form, physical examination form.

 

Application process

1. Apply online.

China Medical University implements online applications. Applicants login to the China Medical University International Student Online Service System ( https://cmu.17gz.org/member/login.do ) to register. The applicant must fill in the information and upload the application materials as required.

Application start time: every year in early March.

Application deadline: until the quota is full.

 

2. The school will issue an electronic pre-admission acceptance letter to the qualified students.

 

3. Pre-admitted students need to pay the full tuition for the first academic year (non-refundable) and upload the scanned copy of the remittance voucher to the enrollment registration system.

 

4. The school handles the visa application form ( JW202 form) for students who have paid tuition fees and sends it together with the Admission Notice.

 

5. After the students receive the JW202 form and the original "Admission Notice", please go to the local Chinese embassy or consulate to apply for a visa to study in China.

 

Medical insurance

The school implements a full insurance system for international students. International students must apply for insurance in accordance with the relevant regulations of the People’s Republic of China and school requirements. If the insurance is not purchased in accordance with the regulations, it shall be ensured within a time limit. If the insurance is not purchased within the time limit, the school will not be admitted or cancel the enrollment qualification.

 

Accommodation

The dormitory for international students is two separate dormitory buildings, a single room design, with independent toilets, a complete set of bathing facilities, each floor has a public self-catering room, and is equipped with coin-operated washing machines.

 

Remarks: After the international students enter the clinical course of study, the school-affiliated hospital will undertake the corresponding teaching tasks, and the students need to move to a rented apartment outside the school.

 

About registration

1. The newborn should have an acceptance letter to a newspaper within the specified time to apply for admission procedures, for some reason can not be scheduled for admission, should first apply for an extension to report to my school. Not leave or leave overdue more than two weeks (10 working days ) , except for legitimate reasons such as force majeure, will be deemed to have waived the admission qualification automatically.

 

2. student enrollment, subject to admission status review, if the application process fraud, tampering with the application materials, the abolition of admission, all the responsibility and the consequences arising therefrom, by the applicant.

 

3. When enrolling, international students should go to the Chinese health and quarantine department to go through the confirmation procedures of the "Foreigner Physical Examination Record" or undergo a physical examination in accordance with the regulations of the Chinese Health Administration. Upon physical examination confirmed suffering from a serious mental disorder provision "People's Republic of China Exit-Entry Administration Law," infectious tuberculosis or other infectious diseases likely to cause significant harm to the Gonggongweisheng by the public security department according to law. If a certain disease or physical defect is found, and the school's affiliated hospital or a second-class ( inclusive ) hospital designated by the school is diagnosed and needs to be recuperated at home to meet the requirements for studying at school, you can apply for retention of enrollment qualifications. The enrollment qualifications are retained for no more than two years. Students who retain the enrollment qualifications do not have school status and do not enjoy the treatment of school students. Students who retain their enrollment qualifications should apply for admission to the school before the expiration of the term. After being diagnosed by the school's affiliated hospital or a hospital designated by the school at Level 2 ( inclusive ) or above, and their physical and mental health meets the requirements for studying at school, they will be reviewed by the school. Go through the admission procedures. Review failed, cancellation of admission; follow the school regulations overdue two weeks (10 days) does not apply for admission procedures and exclusion due to force majeure delay justified, as a waiver of admission.

 

Chinese Government Scholarship

Only for Chinese-taught majors, applicants for Chinese government scholarships must apply through their home country's international student dispatch department (such as the Chinese embassy or consulate in the country where the applicant is located).
