University Graduate Program
(1) Introduction
Chinese Government Scholarship——University Graduate ProgramIt is a full scholarship established by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China to support Chinese universities in recruiting outstanding international students to study for graduate students in China.CUG is one of the prestigious universities designated to undertake the project, recruiting masters and Ph.D. students。
(2) Qualified
1. The applicant must be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China and be in good health;
2. Applicants must:
Bachelor's degree holders under 35 years old when applying for a master's program;
When applying for a doctoral program, students under 40 have a master's degree.
3. 1. Applicants for Chinese-taught programs must pass HSK Level 4.
4. Candidates should attend an interview arranged by prospective tutors.
(3) Scope and standards of scholarship
1. Tuition fee reduction and exemption;
2. Free on-campus accommodation;
3. Living allowance (Master students: 3000 RMB/month, Ph.D. students: 3500 RMB);
4. Comprehensive medical insurance.

(7) Application process
1. Visit the CSC online application system (https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login) and log in.
2. Select category B and fill in the CUG proxy code 10491.
3. Fill out the application form and submit all required documents to the CSC website.
Note: CUG does not accept hard copies.
(8) Application documents
1. "Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form"(Fill in Chinese or English);
2. AfterNotarized highest academic certificate (copy, notarized in Chinese or English);
3. Transcript (notarized in Chinese or English);
4. A study plan or research plan of at least 800 words (in Chinese or English);
5. A self-introduction video (Chinese and English, 3-5 minutes);
6. Two recommendation letters from two professors or associate professors (in Chinese or English);
7. Physical Examination Form for Foreigners, The blood test result is valid for half a year (copy);
8. Copy of valid passport (2 copies);
9. A clear soft copy of the photo (uploaded to the CSC system);
10. Certificate of Good Conduct;
11. A valid HSK certificate or TOEFL/IELTS certificate;
12. Other additional documents (such as the recommendation form of excellent foreign student tutors, award certificates, papers, publications, etc.).
(9) Language requirements
1. Applicants who have not reached HSK level 4 will not be eligible to apply for Chinese-taught programs. Have HSK4 but do not meet the language level required by the professional, that is, HSK4 score of 220 points and above/HSK5 (manage related professional requirements) must study Chinese for one year and pass the required scores before starting professional studies, HSK4 or HSK5.
2. Applicants applying for English-taught programs must provide a valid TOEFL (80 points or more) or IELTS (6.0 points or more) certificate.

December 15th-March 15th
(11) Approval and notification
The school will review the application documents and decide to nominate candidates before the end of May. The list of nominated candidates will be sent to CSC for final review and approval. (12) Matters needing attention
1.Do not complete and do not real materials, and majors that our school cannot provide or are not supported by this scholarship program will not be considered.
2.All documents should be in Chinese or English and uploaded to the CSC website.
3.The highest degree and transcript must be notarized in Chinese or English.
4.The admission documents will be sent to the permanent address filled in on the application form. Please make sure the contact information is valid and accurate. Do not accept mailing addresses with POBox。
5.All Ph.D. CUG courses can be conducted in English, but the teaching language of some compulsory courses is a combination of Chinese and English.
