2021 Chinese Government Scholarship " Silk Road " Project

The Chinese Government Scholarship "Silk Road" program is used by some Chinese universities to independently recruit outstanding international graduate students from the "Belt and Road" countries to study in China. Entrusted by the Ministry of Education, China University of Mining and Technology participated in the implementation of the project and recruited outstanding international students from the “Belt and Road” countries to study for undergraduate, master, and doctoral degrees at China University of Mining and Technology.

 

(1) Funding category, duration, teaching language, and major

1. Funding category: Mainly funding master's degree students and doctoral students, and some majors funding undergraduate students.

2. funding period: 3 years postgraduate, doctoral students four years, undergraduate four years.

3. Teaching languages: Chinese and English.

(2) Applicant qualifications

1. Non-Chinese citizens from " Belt and Road " countries, in good health;

2. Those who study for an undergraduate degree in China must have a high school education and be under 25 years of age; those who study for a master’s degree must have a bachelor’s degree and must be under the age of 35; those who study for a doctor’s degree must have a master’s degree and must be under 40. One year old

3. Chinese proficiency must reach at least Level 4 of the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK).

 

(3) Application time

2021 Nian January 1 to April 30.

 

(4) Scholarship content

1. Full prize: including tuition, accommodation, living expenses, comprehensive medical insurance.

2. Half prize: including accommodation expenses, living expenses, comprehensive medical insurance.

 

(5) Application materials

1. "Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form", filled in Chinese or English;

2. A copy of a valid ordinary passport (personal information page, the passport is valid at least until March 1, 2022 );

3. A notarized copy of the highest degree certificate and transcript. If the applicant is a student at school, the applicant must provide the pre-graduation certificate and transcript issued by the school where he/she is studying. For materials other than Chinese and English, the original copy and the notarized copy of the Chinese or English translation shall be provided;

4. A copy of "Foreigner Physical Examination Form".

Applicants should strictly follow the required items in the form and fill out the form in English or Chinese. Forms with missing items, no photo of the person, or no stamp on the photo, no signature and stamp of the doctor and hospital are invalid. The medical examination form is valid for 6 months. Applicants are requested to determine the time for the medical examination according to the time of application.

5. A copy of the non-criminal certificate. Applicants must submit a valid non-criminal record certificate issued by the local public security agency, usually within 6 months of the date of submission of the application.

6. A copy of the score report of the Chinese Proficiency Test Level 4 ( HSK-4 ) (required by students who apply for Chinese-taught courses). Proof of English proficiency: native English; or IELTS score of 5.5 and above; or TOEFL score of 79 and above; or take the Duolingo English Test (for students who apply for English-taught courses);

7. Study and research plan in China (Chinese or English, 200 words required for undergraduate application, 800 words required for master and doctoral students);

8. Letter of recommendation. Applicants for master's or doctoral degree must submit two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors, written in Chinese or English;

Note: Applicants do not need to send paper application materials when applying. Our school will check all the originals when the journal arrives. Those who fail to pass the materials will not be registered and the scholarship qualification will be canceled.

 

(6) Application process

Log in to " Chinese Government Scholarship Management Information System for Studying in China "

(After logging in http://www.csc.edu.cn/studyinchina or http://www.campuschina.org,

Click the " Online Application Student Entrance " icon to enter) Fill in the application information, submit and print the "Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form" online.

The enrollment code of China University of Mining and Technology is 10290, and the category of the Silk Road program of the Chinese Government Scholarship is Category B.

 

(7) Admission and notification

1.2021 beginning of the end of April -5, China University of Mining is responsible for vetting the applications and inform the applicant exam, interview candidates and determine admission;

2. The candidates who are to be admitted will be approved by the China Scholarship Council and will be granted a Chinese government scholarship to study in China;

3. The China Scholarship Council will send the "Admission List", "Admission Notice" and "Visa Application Form for Studying in China" ( JW201 Form) to the admission institution before June 30, which will forward it to the student;

4. Scholarship recipients are not allowed to change their admission institutions, majors, and duration of study after coming to China;

5. Scholarship qualifications will not be reserved for those who cannot come to China to study within the time limit for admission.
