The International Education Institute launches New Year meeting
On December 30th, the School of International Education held a New Year meeting entitled "Working together and looking forward to the Spring Festival". Zuo Wei, Director of the Office of Foreign Exchange and Cooperation, Dean of the School of International Education, all teachers, international students and volunteers of the School attended For this event, non-school international students participated in the whole process through video. The event was hosted by Ma Ying, Deputy Director of the Office of Foreign Exchange and Cooperation.
The meeting event kicked off with a New Year greeting video for international students. The video solicited good New Year greetings from overseas students at home and abroad. He Ming, secretary of the school’s party committee, summarized the results of the school’s epidemic prevention work in 2020 and extended New Year greetings to the international students.
At the meeting, Zuo Wei commended and issued certificates to the outstanding volunteers who helped foreign students complete their studies normally during the epidemic. At the same time, it also commended outstanding scholarship students for international students in China, winners of the essay activity "Perceive China · Our Anti-epidemic Story" and international student volunteers for epidemic prevention work. International students Mo Yu, Gao Laibo and Andre spoke respectively as representatives, summarizing the results of this year's study and looking forward to future study and life. In his speech, Zuo Wei summarized the achievements of the college in 2020 and looked forward to the future development prospects of the college. Finally, the detention department teacher interprets the New Year's Day, winter vacation arrangements and holiday-related requirements for international students.
This event took the form of online and offline linkage, with more than 100 teachers and students at home and abroad participating. It was a brand new attempt. Affected by the epidemic, although they are thousands of miles apart and on one side, the meeting on the cloud has shortened the distance between each other and has also increased the confidence of overseas students to overcome the epidemic and return to their alma mater as soon as possible. It expresses the good wishes and love for a better life of teachers and students for the new year.
