On January 29, the "Chinese Bridge" online winter camp for Belarusian students, hosted by the Chinese-foreign Language Exchange and Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Education and hosted by Dalian University of Technology, officially came to an end. During the two-week period, 80 students from the Confucius Classroom at Orsha No. 16 Middle School in Belarus gathered in the cloud to share a feast of language and culture.

This "Chinese Bridge" online winter camp is the first online short-term project organized by the School of International Education of our school to jointly build a Confucius Institute overseas. Based on the training theme of "strengthening the level of spoken Chinese and experiencing Chinese culture in depth", our school has carefully set up three courses of Chinese language, one-to-one communication and Chinese culture for the students participating in the winter camp to improve students' The oral level of Chinese will deepen the students' understanding of Chinese culture.

Chinese classes and one-to-one communication classes are taught by our school’s teachers of Chinese as a foreign language with rich teaching experience through the "Chinese Alliance" network learning platform in real-time online live broadcast. The Chinese class aims at improving students’ practical application ability of Chinese. Instructors select practical courses and carefully design game links and interactive links, which fully arouses students’ enthusiasm for learning Chinese, and students quickly transform classroom knowledge into reality. Application, the Chinese proficiency has been greatly improved at the end of the camp. The one-to-one communication course is the highlight of this online training. This course is a practical exercise of the knowledge students have learned in the Chinese class, and it is also a test of the student's Chinese class study. Class 2 student Ilya said: "I like the one-on-one communication class the most. It is incredible to have the opportunity to have face-to-face communication with Chinese teachers."

In order to meet the diverse needs of students, our school hired 8 senior Chinese culture teachers to record Chinese culture courses. Chinese knots, Chinese painting, Ruan Le art, Chinese calligraphy, Guzheng appreciation, Chinese tea art, Tai Chi and Chinese paper-cutting classes are very popular among Belarusian students. According to feedback from the teacher in charge of Bai Fang, the students practiced after watching the Chinese culture class, weaving knots, practicing paper-cutting according to the method taught by the teacher, and writing couplets and painting gourds in the melodious guzheng sound. Some students actually looked decent. Taijiquan was played on the ground.

At the end of the camp, the students prepared a special surprise for the teachers. They made red paper lanterns with Chinese Peking Opera elements in advance. On the day of the camp, the hand-held lanterns stood in two rows in front of the big screen, sending words of thanks and blessings to the teachers: "Thank you for your hard work and patient guidance. , We have gained a lot these days!" "Teacher, our whole class loves you, thank you very much!" "We are going to Dalian University of Technology to learn Chinese in the future!". Distance cannot stop the relationship between teachers and students, and the teachers sitting in front of the live screen were deeply moved.

The students of the Belarusian "Chinese Bridge" online winter camp are generally younger. The significance of the activity is to fundamentally enhance the "hematopoietic" function of Chinese language teaching in Belarus, and cultivate talents for the future development of Chinese language teaching in Belarus.

Use Chinese as a bridge to form a bond between China and White. In the future, our school will use this "Chinese Bridge" winter camp as an entry point, actively explore new online teaching models, and make unremitting efforts to cultivate more messengers for cultural exchanges between China and Belarus.
