High-level International Talent Training and Innovative Practice Bases

 

To implement the spirit of documents such as the "Several Opinions on Strengthening and Improving Humanities Exchanges between China and Foreign Countries" and the "Opinions of the Ministry of Education and Other Eight Departments on Accelerating and Expanding the Opening up of Education in the New Era".

Spread the concept of humanistic exchanges, strengthen the awareness of humanistic exchanges, and accelerate Cultivate high-level international talents with a global perspective, and promote the implementation of the "High-level International Talent Cultivation and Innovative Practice Project".

The Chinese-foreign Humanities Exchange Center of the Ministry of Education will hold the first high level at the Communication University of China from December 3rd to 4th.

International talent training work experience exchange and promotion meeting, our school as one of the 54 universities selected as the first batch of "high-level international talent training innovation practice base" attended the meeting and participated in the licensing ceremony.

Li Kai, the assistant to the director of the International Exchange Office of our school, Ge Bei, the head of the undergraduates' overseas project of the Academic Affairs Office, and Liu Xiaoling, the International Office of the Graduate School, formed a working group to participate.

Du Kewei, director of the Sino-foreign Humanities Exchange Center of the Ministry of Education, and Xu Qing, deputy director of the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education, respectively addressed the meeting.

Participating leaders, experts, and related colleges and universities conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on topics such as talent training for international organizations, global governance, cross-cultural communication, and foreign language discipline construction. Before the end of the conference, the working group of our school participated in the awarding ceremony of the first batch of "High-level International Talent Training and Innovative Practice Base".

Awarded the "High-level International Talent Training and Innovative Practice Base" card.

Cultivating international talents with an international perspective and participating in global governance is an important part of our school's "International +" action plan. In August 2020, with the support of the Chinese and Foreign Humanities Exchange Center of the Ministry of Education.

After expert review and defense, our school was successfully approved as the first batch of universities to be built as the "High-level International Talent Training and Innovative Practice Base".

The project is led by the International Exchange Office of our school, in conjunction with the Academic Affairs Office and the Graduate School. It was officially launched in September 2020. The construction period is five years.

The first batch of 49 undergraduates and graduate students participated. Through a series of projects such as "International Civil Servants Career Planning Lectures", "Global Governance Online Courses", and international organization training.

The project will specifically train and send outstanding students of our school to international organizations for internships and expand the reserve talent team of international organizations. Provide talent support for my country to participate in global governance and promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.

It is reported that the first batch of students to participate in the project have recently completed the "Global Governance Online Course" in the fall of 2020, and the relevant course assessment is in progress.
