Second prize for Chinese and foreign students' works
Recently, the national evaluation of the 2020 "Telling Chinese Stories" Creative Communication Contest came to a successful conclusion. The collaborative work "China in My Eyes" by our school’s Chinese and foreign students won the category of Creative Communication Contest—College Students’ "Telling Chinese Stories" Creative Communication Contest (Large Lecture Competition) Second prize, our school’s student works were selected for the first time in the national evaluation.
Since the start of the 2020 "Tell China Story" creative communication competition in June 2020, local sub-stations have been launched in 9 provinces or cities in Chongqing, Ningbo, Shandong, Guangxi, Shaanxi, Changsha, Sichuan, Inner Mongolia, and Hubei. The six theme competitions of China’s anti-epidemic story, the decisive battle against poverty and the “Belt and Road”, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the Grand Canal were launched, as well as the “Telling the Chinese Story” creative communication contest (the big talk contest) for college students. The three-in-one event structure of "local sub-station competition + series of theme competitions + lecture competition" extensively mobilizes all sectors of society to actively participate in the discovery, telling, and dissemination of Chinese stories in the new era. During the solicitation period, the competition received a total of 13,146 entries from all over the country.
The "Telling Chinese Stories" creative communication competition is directed by the State Council Information Office, hosted by the China Foreign Languages Bureau, with academic support from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, hosted by the Institute of Contemporary China and the World, China Internet News Center, and co-organized by the Public Relations Branch of the Chinese Journalism History, Is an annual official brand activity and social practice platform for publicly soliciting Chinese stories in various fields, spreading the good voice of China, and establishing a good international image of China for the public at home and abroad.
