Introduction to Chinese government scholarship enrollment
To enhance the mutual understanding and friendship between the Chinese people and the people of the world, and to develop exchanges and cooperation between China and other countries in various fields, the Chinese government has established scholarships to subsidize outstanding students, teachers, and scholars from all over the world to study or conduct research in Chinese universities.
The Ministry of Education of China has entrusted the China Scholarship Council (hereinafter referred to as the "China Scholarship Council") to be responsible for the enrollment and management of Chinese government scholarship students.
Guangxi University for Nationalities is a Chinese government scholarship recipient institution approved by the Ministry of Education of China. It will recruit Chinese government scholarship graduate students and doctoral students in 2021.
1. Scholarship enrollment categories, objects, and application conditions
1.1 Enrollment categories: full-time master's students, doctoral students.
1.2 Enrollment country: For all countries, ASEAN countries are preferred.
1.3 Application requirements: Applicants for a master's degree should be under 35 years old and have a bachelor's degree; applicants for a doctoral degree should be under 45 years old, have a master's degree, and have a certain foundation in Chinese. Master's students must be recommended by two professors or associate professors in related fields, and doctoral students must be recommended by two professors. In principle, the applicant's Chinese proficiency must reach at least Level 4 of the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK).
(Note: Students studying native languages or third-country language and literature majors such as English and French are not recruited; scholarship enrollment places are only used for enrolling new students and not provided to students who have already studied in China.)

2. Chinese Government Scholarship Funding Projects and Criteria
The Chinese government scholarship funded projects include the following:
2.1 Exempt from registration fees, tuition fees, laboratory fees, internship fees, basic textbook fees, and on-campus accommodation fees;
2.2 Provide scholarship living expenses, the specific standard is 3,500 yuan per month for doctoral students and 3,000 yuan per month for master students;
2.3 Provide comprehensive medical insurance for Chinese government scholarships for international students in China.
2.4 International travel expenses are at your own expense.
3. Application method
3.1 All application materials must be in A4 format, in triplicate, and submitted to the Admissions Office of the International Education College of Guangxi University for Nationalities. It can be delivered by post, in person, and forwarded by the trustee. EMS is recommended for mailing, and another ordinary express delivery is not accepted.
3.2 To facilitate the verification of the authenticity of the application materials, the application materials sent to the e-mail address are not accepted.
3.3 Applicants are requested to submit application materials as soon as possible. The deadline for application is March 30, 2021 (based on the postmark time), and the deadline may be advanced or delayed due to the impact of the epidemic.
4. Materials to be provided for scholarship application (in triplicate)
4.1 Applicants must fill in and submit the electronic application information online through the "Online Application System for Studying in China" (http://www.csc.edu.cn/studyinchina) of the China Scholarship Council. After the application is completed, please print the system to automatically generate the Application form for Chinese Government Scholarship (Accepting Agency Number: 10608), with photos attached. Handwritten forms are not accepted.
4.2 Recommendation letters of two professors or associate professors (recommended for master students) and two professors (recommended for doctoral students) of related majors must be autographed and written in Chinese or English.
4.3 Notarized highest academic certificate and transcript (Chinese or English). If the applicant is a student at school, a certificate of enrollment issued by the school must be provided (it must indicate that the university scores are qualified, and the graduation certificate can be obtained on time).
4.4 A copy of the "Foreigner Physical Examination Record" within the validity period of the month (Applicants should strictly follow the items required in the "Foreigner Physical Examination Record". Missing items, no photos of themselves, or no seams on the photos Chapter, "Foreigner Physical Examination Record" without the signature and seal of the doctor and the hospital is invalid.) 4.5 Study plan or research plan in China. The content includes the reasons for applying for scholarships, personal study or work performance, individual awards and personal specialties, etc. (written in Chinese or English, no less than 800 words, the applicant’s signature is required).
4.6 Copy of valid passport.
4.7 Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) certificate or other materials proving Chinese proficiency.
4.8 No criminal certificate.
5. Procedures for admission and coming to China of scholarship students
Guangxi University for Nationalities and relevant government departments review the application materials of scholarship students and determine the list of admissions. Guangxi University for Nationalities issues an admission notice and the "Visa Application Form for Foreigners Studying in China" (JW201 Form) for admitted students. Candidates must provide valid contact information and mailing address.
The admitted scholarship students should apply for a study visa in China at the Chinese embassy (consulate), and go through the registration procedures at the school according to the time specified in the notice. The following documents are required for registration at the school:
5.1 A valid ordinary passport;
5.2 Visa application form for foreigners studying in China (JW201 form);
5.3 Admission notice;
5.4 Physical examination records of foreigners;
5.5 The highest degree certificate and original transcript;
