Introduction to scholarship enrollment for international students
1. School profile
Guangxi University for Nationalities is located in Nanning, the capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Guangxi University for Nationalities was founded in 1952 and now has Xiangsi Lake campus, Siyuan Lake campus, and Wuming campus, covering a total area of about 3,500 acres. There are currently 26 colleges, with disciplines covering 11 disciplines including philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, medicine, management, and art.
The school has established substantial exchanges and cooperation with 169 universities and institutions in 21 countries and regions and established Confucius Institutes in cooperation with Mahasarakham University in Thailand, National University of Laos, and Tanjong Pura University in Indonesia. Since the beginning of enrolling international students in 1986, Guangxi University for Nationalities has accumulatively accepted and trained nearly 20,000 international students from more than 50 countries. Princess Sirindhorn of Thailand was appointed as an honorary professor of our school, and Prime Minister Hun Sen of Cambodia was awarded an honorary doctorate in literature. Chinese President Xi Jinping, Cambodian King Sihanouk, Prime Minister Hun Sen, Vietnamese President Tran Duc Leong, Lao Prime Minister Pozon, Myanmar Vice President Sai Mao Khang, and other ASEAN politicians have all visited the school.

2. Types of scholarship admissions, provide objects and application conditions
2.1 Enrollment category: full-time undergraduates.
2.2 Enrollment country: open to all countries in the world.
2.3 Application conditions:
(1) Must have a high school diploma;
(2) Good health, good morals, and no criminal record;
(3) Aged over 18 years old and under 25 years old;
(4) A minimum score of 180 in the HSK (Level 4) test is required for the Chinese Proficiency Test. The major of Chinese International Education (for international students) can accept students with zero Chinese proficiency.
3. Guangxi University for Nationalities Scholarship Funding Projects and Standards for International Students in China
The Guangxi University for Nationalities Scholarship Program for International Students in China includes the following contents:
3.1 Exemption of registration fee and tuition (tuition fee standard: liberal arts: 12,000 yuan/year; science: 15,000 yuan/year; arts and sports: 18,000 yuan/year);
3.2 The accommodation fee shall be paid by oneself;

One academic year
3.3 Living expenses, insurance fees, teaching materials, and other expenses shall be borne by themselves.
4. Application method
4.1 All application materials must be in A4 format, in triplicate, and submitted to the Admissions Office of the International Education College of Guangxi University for Nationalities by post or forwarded by a consignee. EMS and SF Express are recommended for mailing. Do not accept another ordinary express.
4.2 To facilitate the verification of the authenticity of the application materials, the application materials sent to the e-mail address are not accepted.
4.3 The deadline for application is May 31, 2021 (subject to the date of receipt of the materials).
5. Materials to be provided for scholarship application (in triplicate)
5.1 "Guangxi University for Nationalities Scholarship Application Form for International Students in China" (see Annex 1). The form must be filled out on the computer. Handwritten forms are not accepted.
5.2 Notarized highest education certificate and transcript (Chinese or English). If the applicant is a student at school, a certificate of enrollment issued by the school (must indicate that the grades are qualified, and the graduation certificate can be obtained on time).
5.3 The "Physical Examination Form for Foreigners" within the 3.6-month validity period.
5.4 Study plan in China (signature of the applicant is required). The content includes reasons for applying for scholarships, personal learning performance, individual rewards, and personal specialties, etc. (written in Chinese or English).
5.5 Copy of valid passport.
5.6 Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) certificate.
6. Procedures for admission and coming to China of scholarship students
6.1 Guangxi University for Nationalities reviews the application materials of scholarship students and determines the list of admissions. Guangxi University for Nationalities issues admission notices to admitted students.
6.2 The admitted scholarship students should apply for a study visa in China at the Chinese embassy (consulate), and go through the registration procedures at the school according to the time specified in the notice. To register at the school, the following original materials are required:
(1) A valid ordinary passport;
(2) Visa application form for foreign students studying in China (JW202 form);
(3) Admission notice;
(4) Physical examination form for foreigners;
(5) The highest degree certificate and original transcripts.
