Country-specific Bilateral Project

The "Chinese Government Scholarship-Country-specific Bilateral Project" is a full scholarship or partial scholarship provided in accordance with educational cooperation and exchange agreements or consensus reached between China and relevant national governments, institutions, schools, and international organizations. This program can recruit undergraduates, graduate students, doctoral students, general scholars and senior scholars. Applicants should submit an application to the international student dispatching department of their home country. Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine accepts applicants for the Chinese Government Scholarship's national bilateral programs, and the funding targets are undergraduates, master's students, and doctoral students. This scholarship is a category A scholarship in the CSC system.
 
 

1. Applicant qualifications

1.1 Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and in good health;
 
1.2 Applicant's academic qualifications and age requirements:
 
(1) Those who come to China to study undergraduate majors must have a high school diploma, excellent grades, and be under the age of 25;
 
(2) Those who come to China to study for a master's degree must have a bachelor's degree and be under the age of 35;
 
(3) Those who come to China to study for a doctoral degree must have a master's degree and be under 40 years old.
 
 

2. Type and duration of funding

Funding Category:
 
Undergraduates: Professional study period 4 to 5 academic years, Chinese tuition period 1-2, academic year Scholarship funding period 4 to 7 academic years.
 
Master's degree students: Professional study period 2-3 academic years, Chinese tuition period 1-2 academic years, Scholarship funding period 2-3 academic years
 
Doctoral students: Professional study period-4 school years, Chinese tuition period1-2 school years, Scholarship funding period3-6 school years
 
 

3. Scholarship content and standards

3.1 Full scholarship

(1) Exemption of tuition, accommodation, and application fees;
 
(2) Provide scholarship living expenses (RMB): Undergraduate: 2500 yuan/month; Master's degree Postgraduate: 3000 yuan/month; PhD students: 3500 yuan/month;
 
(3) Provide comprehensive medical insurance for Chinese government scholarships for international students in China.
 
 

3.2 Partial scholarship

One or more items in the full scholarship.
 
 

4. The application process

4.1 Applicants must first obtain the admission letter of the country-specific bilateral program from the international student dispatching department of their country Information and submit the application as required;
 
4.2 If you apply for our school, please prepare the relevant information according to the requirements of the application materials and log in to the admission system for overseas students of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine (http://ic.gzucm.edu.cn/), enter register online, and upload relevant information. After passing the review, apply for the issuance of the pre-admission notice.
 
4.3 Applicants who are recommended by the overseas student dispatch department of their home country must log in to the "CSC ,online Application System for Studying in China" (login to http://www.csc.edu.cn/laihua or
http://www.campuschina.org,
Click on the "Online Registration Student Entrance" icon to enter). Fill in the application information online, submit and print the "Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form" online. For specific steps, please refer to the "Guidelines for Online Application for Chinese Government Scholarship" in the attachment;
 
4.4 Applicants must prepare corresponding materials according to the requirements of the following "application materials" list, and submit to the international student dispatching department of your home country within the specified time;
 
4.5 The CSC only accepts applications from candidates recommended by the international student dispatching departments of various countries.
 
Accept direct applications from individual students. If the applicant has received the pre-admission notice from the institution, stay the Scholarship Council will make arrangements accordingly; if the pre-admission notice is not obtained, the Scholarship Council has the right to the applicant institution makes necessary adjustments.
 
 

5. Application materials

Applicants must truthfully fill in and submit the following application materials:
 
5.1 "Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form" (Chinese or English);
 
Note: Fill in and submit basic application information online in the "Online Application System for Studying in China" of the China Scholarship Council. After submitting the information, please print the application form for Chinese Government Scholarship automatically generated by the system. Applicants who have not registered online, the China Scholarship Council will not recognized. Please see the attachment for detailed instructions.
 
5.2 Passport homepage. Applicants must submit a clear scanned copy of the first page of a Japanese ordinary passport with a validity date later than March 1, 2022. If the validity period of the current passport does not meet the requirements, please renew a new passport in time. For applicants who are unable to apply for a passport before submitting the application due to objective reasons, with the permission of the accepting agency, they can submit a valid certificate or document containing their "English name, gender, nationality, date of birth" and other information;
 
5.3 Notarized highest education certificate. If the applicant is a student at school, a certificate of enrollment issued by the school must be submitted separately. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations;
 
5.4 Transcript. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations;
 
5.5 Study or research plan in China. (Not less than 200 words for undergraduates, no less than 500 words for advanced students, no less than 800 words for graduate students), written in Chinese or English;
 
5.6 Letter of recommendation. Applicants for master's or doctoral degrees must submit two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors, written in Chinese or English.
 
5.7 Applicants under the age of 18 must submit relevant legal documents of their legal guardian in China;
 
5.8 A copy of the "Foreigner Physical Examination Form" (the original should be kept by yourself, see the attachment, and it can also be downloaded from the CSC website). It is limited to those who have studied in China for more than 6 months and must be filled out in English. In view of the fact that the examination result is valid for 6 months, the applicant is requested to determine the time for the physical examination accordingly;
 
5.9 Certificate of Good Conduct. Applicants must submit a valid non-criminal record certificate issued by the local public security agency, usually within 6 months of the date of submitting the application;
 
5.10 Pre-admission notice. If you apply to our school, applicants can contact our school’s admissions and training office to obtain our school’s pre-admission notice after completing the upload and review of the materials in our school’s overseas student enrollment system (according to the regulations of the China Scholarship Council, for those who have submitted pre-admission Applicants for the notification letter will be admitted to the pre-admission colleges according to their wishes);
 
5.11 If you have obtained the HSK score report, please attach a copy to the application materials. Note: All materials uploaded through the system must be clear, true, and effective. It is recommended that the applicant use professional equipment to scan the relevant documents to be submitted, and the consequences caused by the unclear or unrecognizable uploaded materials shall be borne by the applicant.
 
 

6. Application acceptance agency and application time

Application acceptance agency: international student dispatching departments of various countries.
 
Please check with the overseas student dispatching department of your home country for the specific application time and acceptance agency code.
 
 

7. Admission and notification

The Scholarship Council is responsible for reviewing the scholarship application materials. Applicants who do not meet the requirements or application materials that do not meet the requirements will not be accepted. The CSC will send the "Admission List", "Admission Notice" and "Visa Application Form for Studying in China" (JW201 Form) to the Chinese Embassy (or Consulate General) in the host country before July 31. It forwards the above-mentioned documents to the international student dispatching departments or the students themselves.
 
 

8. Admission

8.1 Applicants who have been admitted by scholarship institutions can receive Chinese government scholarships to study in China after they have been approved by the China Scholarship Council. Each scholarship recipient can only receive funding from one Chinese government scholarship program;
 
8.2 Scholarship recipients are not allowed to change the admission institution, major of study, and study period stated in the "Admission Notice" after coming to China;
 
8.3 Scholarship recipients must register on time according to the registration time in the admission notice. Those who cannot come to China to study within the time limit for admission will not be eligible for the scholarship;
 
8.4 After coming to China, they must be managed in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Chinese Government Scholarship and conduct an annual review. Those who fail the review will be suspended or cancelled in accordance with the regulations.
 
 

9. Other

For other matters concerning the admissions of international students, please refer to the "Guidelines for Recruiting International Students for Undergraduates in 2021 of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine" and "Guidelines for Recruiting International Students for Postgraduates of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine in 2021".
