Hold a forum
On December 2, 2020, our school held a theme forum on "The Belt and Road Initiative" in Wentian Hall, Xikang Road Campus.
Vice President Fan Rui attended and delivered a speech. The event was actively participated in the organization and hosted by Salisu Gidado Dalibi and others, with doctoral students from seven countries serving as judges. The competition is divided into two parts, the first part is a speech, and the second part is to answer impromptu questions from the judges on the spot.
More than ten participating students carefully prepared PPT to discuss different topics. After more than 4 hours of fierce competition, Muhammad Ibrahim (Nigeria), Tolossa Lemma Tola ( Ethiopia ), Md Mohi Uddin (Bangladesh ) were awarded first to third places. The award and the rest of the contestants received commemorative awards.
Dozens of international students (including all the students of the Belt and Road project) watched the event seriously, exchanged and discussed with each other, highly affirmed the "Belt and Road" initiative, and deeply realized that the joint construction of the " Belt and Road " is in the fundamental interests of the international community. Demonstrating the common ideals and beautiful pursuits of human society is an active exploration of international cooperation and new models of global governance. It will add new positive energy to world peace and development. All countries should work together to build a community of interests and a community of mutual trust, economic integration, and cultural inclusiveness. And a community of responsibility. The students expressed that they will actively promote and participate in the "Belt and Road " in the future.
