Introduction to enrollment of international students

1. Eligibility

Applicants must hold a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for four years or above and have an actual overseas residential record for at least two years over the last four years (by the end of April 30th of the year of entry).

 

2. Age and Academic Requirements

Applicants of Chinese Language Training Programs shall be under the age of 35 and hold a high school certificate or higher diploma.

Applicants of General Scholar Programs shall be under the age of 45 and hold a high school certificate or higher diploma.

Applicants of Senior Scholar Programs shall be under the age of 50 and hold a Master's Degree or higher degree.

Applicants of Bachelor Degree Programs shall be under the age of 25 and hold a High School Certificate or higher diploma.

Applicants of Master Degree Programs shall be under the age of 35 and hold a Bachelor's Degree or higher degree.

Applicants of Doctoral Degree Programs shall be under the age of 40 and hold a Master's Degree or higher degree.

Applicants shall attain at least 65 percent or equivalent grades in all subjects. Admission will be based on academic merit.

 

3. Language Proficiency

Applicants of Chinese-medium programs shall have an adequate command of the Chinese language: Applicants of programs of science, engineering, economics, law, management, education, and arts instructed in the Chinese language must attain a score of 180 on the theHSK4 (Chinese Proficiency Test Level Four); applicants of programs of literature, history, and philosophy instructed in the Chinese language must attain a score of 180 on the HSK6.

No Chinese proficiency requirement for applicants of Bachelor Degree program of Chinese Language, and English-medium Programs (Bachelor Degree programs of Business Administration, Computer Science and Technology, and Electronic Information Engineering).

Applicants of English-medium Programs shall submit TOEFL iBT 80 or above/IELTS 6.0 or above certificate or English as the instruction language during previous studies.

 

4. Economic Capacity

Self-funding applicants shall enclose a deposit certificate with a value equivalent to RMB30000 or above.

Applicants of all scholarship programs shall comply with related conditions listed by the scholarship sponsors.

 

5. Application materials

All applicants must submit relevant documents (filled in in Chinese or English) as required:

(1) Submit online "Jiangxi Normal University Application Form for Studying Abroad" (Chinese or English);

(2) Scanned copy of passport (with photo page and all visa and residence permit pages issued by China);

(3) Notarized highest education certificate (Chinese or English). Students in school must submit a certificate of enrollment and a certificate of pre-graduation issued by the school they are attending;

(4) Academic transcript (Chinese or English). Applicants for science and engineering majors must provide scores in mathematics, physics, and chemistry, and applicants for economics and management must provide scores in mathematics;

(5) Study or research plan in China (Chinese or English). No less than 200 words for undergraduate students, no less than 500 words for advanced students, and no less than 800 words for graduate students;

(6) Recommendation letter (Chinese or English). Applicants for master's or doctoral degree and those who apply to study in China as advanced scholars must submit two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors;

(7) Certificate of deposit. Those with a study period of less than one year must provide a deposit certificate for the expenses required during the study period, and those with a study period longer than one year must provide a deposit certificate for the expenses required during the first year of study (at least RMB 30,000); scholarship recipients must provide Letter issued by the scholarship authority.

(8) Students applying for music majors must submit CDs of their own works; students applying for fine arts majors must provide 2 sketches, 2 color paintings, and 2 CDs of other works;

(9) Applicants under the age of 18 must submit relevant legal documents of their legal guardian in China;

(10) Those who have studied in China for more than 6 months must submit a copy of the "Foreigner Physical Examination Form" (the original is kept by yourself. This form is uniformly printed by the Chinese Health and Quarantine Department. You can download it from the following link http://laihua .jxnu.edu.cn, must be filled out in English). Applicants should strictly follow the required items in the "Physical Examination Form for Foreigners" to conduct inspections. The "Foreigner Physical Examination Form" that is missing, does not have a photo of the person affixed, or the photo is not stamped with a seam seal, is not signed and stamped by the doctor and the hospital is invalid. Because the examination result is valid for 6 months, the applicant is requested to determine the time for the physical examination accordingly;

(11) If you have obtained the HSK score report, please attach a copy to the application materials.

(12) A letter of consent for transfer. When enrolling or transferring scholars from other schools apply to our school, they should provide a transfer letter of consent issued by the original enrolling school.

 

6. How to apply

All applicants must apply online and submit relevant documents through the following link: http://jxnu.17gz.org/member/login.do

Applicants must bring the originals of all application materials for inspection when enrolling.

The spring semester starts at the end of February or early March and ends in July; the fall semester starts in September and ends in January of the following year;

Applicants for spring (February-February) admission (only for language students), must submit application materials before November 30;

Applicants for fall (September) admission must submit application materials before May 30.
