1. Admissions Project

2. Admissions Major

3. Eligibility for application

(1). Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with good conduct, good health, excellent grades, consciously abide by the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China and Kunming Medical University discipline and school rules, and respect Chinese customs and habits.

(2). Education background and age requirements

① Apply for a bachelor's degree: have a high school degree or above or equivalent academic ability, and the age is 18 to 25 years old;

② Apply for a master's degree: have a bachelor's degree or equivalent, apply for a major similar to that of the undergraduate major, and the age is 18 to 35 years old;

③ Applying for a doctorate: with a master's degree or equivalent, the applied major is similar to the master's major or undergraduate major, and the age is 18 to 45 years old;

④ Applying for medical advancement programs: Bachelor degree or above in medical-related majors, and the age is 18 to 50 years old;

⑤ Apply for Chinese language training program: have a high school diploma or above or equivalent academic ability, and the age is 18 to 50 years old;

(3). Language proficiency requirements

Chinese-taught programs: have the ability to use Chinese for majors, and the Chinese proficiency must reach at least the "International Chinese Language Proficiency Standards" Level 4 (HSK4) level.

English-taught programs: have the ability to use English to learn majors. Applicants from non-English speaking countries must submit IELTS, TOEFL, or other English test score certificates are required to submit English scores and a certificate issued by the school. Preference is given to applicants who have a basic knowledge of Chinese.

 

4. Application time

(1). Application time for self-financed degree students: January 1, 2021, to July 1, 2021.

(2). The scholarship program refers to the enrollment guidelines of Kunming Medical University Scholarship Program for Studying in China in 2021.

(3). Application time for non-degree students: Enrollment throughout the year.

 

5. Application process

(1). Online registration

Applicants must register online at the Kunming Medical University International Student Admissions Platform http://study.kmmc.cn. Scholarship applicants refer to the admissions guidelines of the Kunming Medical University Scholarship for Studying in China 2021. The following materials must be submitted for online registration:

① "Kunming Medical University Foreign Student Admission Application Form" (automatically generated for registration);

② The photo page of the passport (must be within the validity period);

③ "Foreigner Physical Examination Form" and blood examination report;

④ Notarized Chinese or English version of the highest degree diploma, degree certificate, and transcript;

⑤ HSK Level 4 and above certificate (must be submitted by applicants for Chinese-taught programs);

⑥ Proof of English performance (ability) (must be submitted by applicants for English-taught programs);

⑦ Resume and study plan;

⑧ Recommendation letters from two professors or associate professors (must be submitted by applicants for graduate programs);

⑨ Family financial situation guarantee materials (applicants for self-funded projects);

⑩ Proof of no criminal record.

 

(2). Audit and interview

The school will review the applicant's application materials, interview those who pass the preliminary examination and select the best candidates for admission.

 

6. Admission and registration

(1). The school issues an admission notice and JW201 form (or JW202 form) to admitted students and those who are admitted must apply for an X1 visa within the time specified in the admission notice, and report to the school with all the original application materials and admission materials. If you cannot register for special reasons, you must ask for leave in advance to Kunming Medical University in writing. If you fail to register for two weeks without reason, the school will cancel your enrollment qualification.

(2). During the period of new coronary pneumonia, the school will notify the admitted students of registration and education management-related matters by relevant national and regional requirements.
