"Spicy Chinese" teacher gave a lecture in school



In order to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of Liaoning Normal University and improve the overall quality of postgraduates of the International Education College, enhance the professional ability of international Chinese teaching, and guide postgraduates to have a clear direction in their career planning, the International Education College invited Liu Zhigang, a teacher from "Spicy Chinese" to On April 13, 2021, a lecture entitled "The Road is Under the Foot-Core Competitiveness and Career Planning of Students Majoring in Chinese Education" was given to the teachers and students of our school on April 13, 2021. Numerous teachers and students from the School of International Education attended the lecture, and the report was hosted by Professor Xiaoyi Xu, the Deputy Dean of the School of International Education.




In the lecture, Mr. Liu Zhigang first introduced the various directions of the professional career planning of Chinese education through many real and moving real cases of Chinese teachers, and encouraged young people to face the various choices of life with enthusiasm and upward spirit. Then combined with his own rich teaching experience, pointed out that the core competitiveness of students majoring in Chinese education lies in their professionalism and how to improve and cultivate their professionalism. After the lecture, Teacher Liu Zhigang interacted with teachers and students, and showed up to encourage students to work hard through their real cases. Teacher Liu Zhigang's wonderful lecture won the constant applause of teachers and students present. Teachers and students expressed their deep inspiration, and the atmosphere was warm.




This lecture allowed the graduate students of the Master's degree in Chinese International Education to deeply appreciate the charm of the Chinese Master's degree. The lectures not only broaden the vision and thinking of teachers and students in the field of Chinese international education career planning, but also have great significance in promoting students to rationally plan their lives, and benefit teachers and students a lot. The School of International Education will continue to invite famous teachers to the school to give lectures in order to improve the teaching quality of the school and promote the development of Chinese international education.


Liu Zhigang, male, Bachelor of English and American Literature from Shandong Normal University, Master of Chinese as a Foreign Language at Beijing Language and Culture University, teacher of Chinese as a foreign language and Chinese language teaching trainer, taught in Xiamen University Overseas Education College, New Oriental Education Group Shanghai New Oriental School, The German Embassy School in Beijing went to the U.S. in 2016 through the Chinese Language Teachers Program to be sent to the U.S. to serve as a Chinese teacher at the Confucius Institute at Auburn University in Montgomery and is now a Chinese teacher in the middle school of Indiana International School in the U.S. In July 2014, the first work "Spicy Chinese Funny Comics" was published by the Commercial Press, which was the first popular work on teaching Chinese as a foreign language in mainland China; in August 2016, the second work "Notes of a Chinese as a Foreign Language Teacher" was published by World Books Published by the publishing company; the teaching monograph "Multimedia-assisted Chinese Teaching Case Collection" will be published in Beijing Language and Culture University Press in February 2020, and the "North American Story: Teaching Cases and Reflections of First-line Chinese Teachers in the United States" will be published and distributed by Peking University Press. Since May 2013, he has been invited to give more than one hundred special reports to various universities at home and abroad.
