Founded in 1909, Lanzhou University is a key comprehensive university directly under the Ministry of Education of China. It is one of the key universities in the national "985 Project" and "211 Project", and a national "Double First-Class" Class A university.

1. Application qualifications and conditions
1.1 Non-Chinese citizens, holding a valid foreign passport, and in good physical and mental health.
1.2 Graduated from high school, under the age of 25;
1.3 HSK score requirements
Literature, history, and philosophy majors: HSK level 4 with a score of 210 or more
Chinese Language and Chinese International Education Major: HSK 4 with a score of 210 or above, HSKK Intermediate with a score of 60 or above
Other majors: HSK level 4 with a score of 195 or more
Those who do not meet the requirements must take 1-2 years of Chinese tuition; applicants for scholarships must meet the HSK score requirements before applying.
2. Application time
Deadline on June 30 (Please refer to the enrollment guide for each scholarship program for the application time of scholarship programs)
3. Application materials
3.1 "Lanzhou University Foreign Student Admission Application Form" (complete it in the Lanzhou University International Student Online Service System https://lzu.17gz.org );
3.2 Notarized high school diploma certificate (texts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations, and fresh graduates must submit a certificate of pre-graduation);
3.3 Notarized high school transcripts (texts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations);
3.4 The first page of a valid ordinary passport;
3.5 "Foreigner Physical Examination Record", which needs to be filled in in English or Chinese. Applicants should strictly follow the items required in the inspection. Forms with missing items, no photos of the person affixed, or no seals on the photos, no comments from doctors, and signs and stamps of the hospital are invalid. The inspection result is valid for 6 months);
3.6 Proof of no criminal record;
3.7 Proof of Chinese proficiency (such as HSK, HSKK certificate);
3.8 Personal statement.
(1) Incomplete materials will not be accepted;
(2) All the above materials need to be scanned and uploaded to the system;
(3) Applicants for scholarships need to mail two copies of the hardcopy materials to our hospital, regardless of whether they are admitted or not, the materials will not be returned. Those who apply for self-financed learners do not need to mail paper materials.
4. Application procedure
Step 1: Log in to the Lanzhou University International Student Online Service System https://lzu.17gz.org to register, fill in the information and upload the original scanned copy of the application materials;
Step 2: After completing the online registration, print the "Lanzhou University International Student Admission Application Form" automatically generated by the system, and prepare the corresponding materials by the requirements and sequence of the "application materials" list;
Step 3: Mail the hard copy materials (for scholarship applicants).
