1. Introduction to Nanchang City

Nanchang is the political, economic, cultural, and technological center of Jiangxi Province. The forest coverage rate is 65.1%, ranking second in the world. Nanchang covers an area of 7,402 square kilometers and has a total population of 5.5455 million. It is a famous historical city, a capital city of mountains and rivers, a new industrial city, and a beautiful dynamic city in China.

Historical city Nanchang is a famous city with more than 2,200 years of profound historical and cultural heritage, and has the reputation of "outstanding people and spirits". Nanchang has famous attractions such as the Tengwang Pavilion, Xishan Longevity Palace, Shengjin Pagoda, and the Tomb of Haihunhou in the Han Dynasty. At the same time, Nanchang is also the cradle of the Chinese People's Army and the cradle of China's reform and opening up ideas.

The city of landscape and water, Nanchang is a city surrounded by mountains and rivers. It is nestled in the west by the Meiling Mountains, the Ganjiang River runs through the city, and the two rivers and eight lakes are dotted among them. The beautiful dynamic city Nanchang is located in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, bordering Poyang Lake, the largest freshwater lake in China. Nanchang has high-speed railways connecting many famous cities in China. It takes 2.5 hours to fly to Beijing and 1.5 hours to fly to Shanghai or Guangzhou.

 

2. Introduction to Nanchang University

Nanchang University is a world-class discipline construction university under the national "Double First-Class" plan, the only national "211 Project" key construction university in Jiangxi Province, a joint university built by the Ministry of Education and Jiangxi Province, and a high-level university in Jiangxi Province. The school is located in the "Hero City" Nanchang City, with 4 campuses including Qianhu, Qingshan Lake, Donghu, and Poyang Lake. The main campus of Qianhu covers an area of 4321 acres and the school building area is 1.5 million square meters.

The school now has the Department of Humanities, Social Sciences, Department of Science and Engineering, Department of Science and Engineering, and Department of Medicine. It has 126 undergraduate majors in 12 disciplines, 3 national key (cultivation) disciplines, and 15 doctoral degree authorized first-level disciplines. There are 1 master's degree authorized first-level disciplines, 1 doctoral professional degree authorization and 29 master's professional degree authorizations, and 11 post-doctoral research mobile stations. The school has 5 directly affiliated hospitals and a total of 9 national key clinical specialties. The school’s seven disciplines including chemistry, clinical medicine, agricultural sciences (focusing on food science and engineering), engineering, materials science, pharmacology and toxicology, biology, and biochemistry have entered the top 1% of the ESI world rankings, among which agricultural sciences (Focused on food science and engineering) It entered the top 1.79‰ of the ESI world ranking, the clinical medicine ranked the top 3.7‰ of the ESI world ranking, and the chemistry ranked the top 4.8‰ of the ESI world ranking. In the fourth round of national discipline evaluation, the food science and engineering discipline evaluation grade was A and ranked third in the country.

The school has 4,362 faculty members (including 2524 full-time teachers and 1461 full-time professors), including 1 academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and 4 "double-employed" academicians.

The school has joined the "China-Central and Eastern European University Association", is one of the founding universities of the "South Asia-Southeast Asia University Alliance", a member unit of the Eurasian-Pacific Alliance, the standing director unit of the China Education Exchange Association, and the "Yangtze River-Volga University Alliance" Member units, Demonstration Base for Studying in China by the Ministry of Education, Advanced Test Center for National HSK Internet Test of Chinese Proficiency, and Study Abroad Training Base of the Ministry of Education's Study Abroad Service Center. The school attaches great importance to international education and has established exchanges and cooperation with more than 170 universities and scientific research institutions in more than 40 countries (regions). The school has established the China-Canada Food Science and Technology Joint Laboratory (Nanchang), the International Food Safety Science and Technology Cooperation Base, the International Food Innovation Research Institute, and the International Material Innovation Research Institute, and jointly established the first Russian language center in Jiangxi Province with Russian universities. The cooperation with the Queen Mary University of London in the United Kingdom is the highest-level Sino-foreign cooperative education project in the field of biomedicine in China. The school has established 6 Confucius Institutes and Confucius Classrooms in France, Spain, and Indonesia, and a Chinese language research center in Russia. 5.1 Eligibility for application

Language requirements: students applying for Chinese-taught programs must obtain HSK4 level certificates before entering professional studies, and HSK5 level certificates before graduation; students applying for English-taught programs must have an English level of IELTS 6.0 (inclusive) or above or TOEFL score of 82 (inclusive) or above or pass the English test of our school.
