Northeast Agricultural University is located in the beautiful ice city of Harbin. It is a key university under Heilongjiang Province, the first batch of national "211 Project" key construction universities and "world-class disciplines" construction universities. The school has 17 colleges and 1 teaching department, with a complete education system for training bachelors, masters, doctors and post-doctors. There are 10 post-doctoral research mobile stations, 3 post-doctoral research workstations; 10 doctoral degree authorization first-level disciplines , 22 first-level disciplines for master's degree authorization; 1 doctoral degree authorization category, 13 master's professional degree authorization categories; 72 undergraduate majors, subjects covering agriculture, engineering, science, economics, management, literature and other disciplines.
Eligibility for application1. The applicant must be a non-Chinese citizen; 2. The physical health status meets the medical examination requirements stipulated by the state; 3. Applicants who are not in China or college graduates in China; 4. Those who come to China to study for a bachelor's degree must have obtained a high school diploma; Those who come to China to study for a master's degree must have obtained a bachelor's degree and be under the age of 35; Those who come to China to study for a doctoral degree must have obtained a master's degree and be under the age of 40; 5. Excellent academic performance; 6. Have strong scientific research capabilities.
Applicants for the scholarship program must not be funded by other scholarships.
Application materialsApplicants must truthfully fill in and submit the following application materials (all in duplicate): 1. One original and one copy of the "Application Form for Foreign Students Admission to Northeast Agricultural University", printed and filled out in Chinese or English. (The application form can be downloaded and filled out at http://gjxy.neau.edu.cn and signed at the place where the applicant signs) 2. The highest degree certificate that has been notarized. If the applicant is a student at school, he/she must also submit a pre-graduation certificate issued by the school where he/she is studying. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations; 3. Notarized transcript of the highest degree certificate. Those pursuing a bachelor's degree must provide transcripts at the high school or junior college level; those pursuing a master's degree must provide transcripts at the undergraduate level; those pursuing a doctorate degree must provide transcripts at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations; 4. Study and research plans in China, no less than 800 words, written in Chinese or English (only submitted by applicants for master's and doctoral programs); 5. Submit two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors, written in Chinese or English (only for applicants for master's and doctoral programs); 6. One copy of passport; 7. "Foreigner's Physical Examination Record" (copy, the original should be kept by yourself): This form must be filled out in English or Chinese. The result of the examination is valid for 6 months. Applicants are requested to determine the time for their physical examination accordingly; 8. 6 two-inch passport photos with white background; 9. If you have passed the HSK test, please provide a copy of the Chinese proficiency certificate; 10. Published academic papers or academic achievements (if any can be attached); 11. Instructor agrees to receive letter (if any can be attached); 12. No criminal certificate.
Applicants for scholarship programs are also required to submit and send one original and a photocopy of the "Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form" (uniformly printed by the China Scholarship Council), filled in Chinese or English. (The application form can be filled out and downloaded at http://www.csc.edu.cn, studyinchina.csc.edu.cn or www.campuschina.org, and signed at the place where the applicant signs). No matter whether they are admitted or not, the applicant's materials will not be returned.
Application method and timeApplicants must send the paper application materials to the School of International Culture and Education of Northeast Agricultural University before April 15th of the enrollment year. Applicants for the scholarship program must also apply online. Please refer to the Chinese Government Scholarship Instructions for details. No application fee is required.
Enrollment category and language of instruction
Classes are taught in Chinese. Students who do not meet the required Chinese proficiency must take a one-year Chinese course before entering professional studies. ☆For PhD students, only the teaching language of horticulture is English or Chinese, and the teaching language of other majors is Chinese. Applicants who apply for English-taught courses are required to provide proof of English proficiency: TOEFL score of 80 and above or IELTS 5.5 and above. Applicants whose native language or lingua franca are English do not need to provide the above proof.

Admission and registration1. The School of International Culture and Education of Northeast Agricultural University will review the applicant's application materials and decide whether to admit or not. Northeast Agricultural University has the right to make appropriate adjustments to the applicant's chosen major and duration. 2. Those who need to study Chinese or take preparatory courses before professional study should pass the relevant examinations of the school during the Chinese remedial or preparatory study period before they can formally enter the professional study. 3. Northeast Agricultural University encourages applicants to contact their faculties and supervisors in advance (for details of faculties and majors, please refer to the "Catalogue of Departments and Majors of Northeast Agricultural University Accepting Foreign Students in China") If the applicant has already obtained an invitation letter from a department or a supervisor, please attach it to the application materials. All admitted applicants shall be reported to the Ministry of Education of China for the record by Northeast Agricultural University. 5. Northeast Agricultural University will send the "Admission Notice" and the "Visa Application Form for Studying in China" (JW201/202) to the student or the relevant department of the student's college before August 15. Scholarship recipients should participate in the annual scholarship review in accordance with the "Chinese Government Scholarship Annual Review Measures". The content of the annual review includes academic performance, learning attitude, attendance, behavior and rewards and punishments.
