2021 Application for International Students of Northeast Agricultural University

 

Northeast Agricultural University is located in the beautiful ice city of Harbin. It is a key university under Heilongjiang Province, the first batch of national "211 Project" key construction universities and "world-class disciplines" construction universities. The school has 17 colleges and 1 teaching department, with a complete education system for training bachelors, masters, doctors and post-doctors. There are 10 post-doctoral research mobile stations, 3 post-doctoral research workstations; 10 doctoral degree authorization first-level disciplines , 22 first-level disciplines for master's degree authorization; 1 doctoral degree authorization category, 13 master's professional degree authorization categories; 72 undergraduate majors, subjects covering agriculture, engineering, science, economics, management, literature and other disciplines.

 

Eligibility for application

1. The applicant must be a non-Chinese citizen;

2. The physical health status meets the medical examination requirements stipulated by the state;

3. Applicants who are not in China or college graduates in China;

4. Those who come to China to study for a bachelor's degree must have obtained a high school diploma;

Those who come to China to study for a master's degree must have obtained a bachelor's degree and be under the age of 35;

Those who come to China to study for a doctoral degree must have obtained a master's degree and be under the age of 40;

5. Excellent academic performance;

6. Have strong scientific research capabilities.

 

Applicants for the scholarship program must not be funded by other scholarships.

 

 

Application materials

Applicants must truthfully fill in and submit the following application materials (all in duplicate):

1. One original and one copy of the "Application Form for Foreign Students Admission to Northeast Agricultural University", printed and filled out in Chinese or English. (The application form can be downloaded and filled out at http://gjxy.neau.edu.cn and signed at the place where the applicant signs)

2. The highest degree certificate that has been notarized. If the applicant is a student at school, he/she must also submit a pre-graduation certificate issued by the school where he/she is studying. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations;

3. Notarized transcript of the highest degree certificate. Those pursuing a bachelor's degree must provide transcripts at the high school or junior college level; those pursuing a master's degree must provide transcripts at the undergraduate level; those pursuing a doctorate degree must provide transcripts at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations;

4. Study and research plans in China, no less than 800 words, written in Chinese or English (only submitted by applicants for master's and doctoral programs);

5. Submit two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors, written in Chinese or English (only for applicants for master's and doctoral programs);

6. One copy of passport;

7. "Foreigner's Physical Examination Record" (copy, the original should be kept by yourself): This form must be filled out in English or Chinese. The result of the examination is valid for 6 months. Applicants are requested to determine the time for their physical examination accordingly;

8. 6 two-inch passport photos with white background;

9. If you have passed the HSK test, please provide a copy of the Chinese proficiency certificate;

10. Published academic papers or academic achievements (if any can be attached);

11. Instructor agrees to receive letter (if any can be attached);

12. No criminal certificate.

 

Applicants for scholarship programs are also required to submit and send one original and a photocopy of the "Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form" (uniformly printed by the China Scholarship Council), filled in Chinese or English. (The application form can be filled out and downloaded at http://www.csc.edu.cn, studyinchina.csc.edu.cn or www.campuschina.org, and signed at the place where the applicant signs).

No matter whether they are admitted or not, the applicant's materials will not be returned.

 

 

Application method and time

Applicants must send the paper application materials to the School of International Culture and Education of Northeast Agricultural University before April 15th of the enrollment year.

Applicants for the scholarship program must also apply online. Please refer to the Chinese Government Scholarship Instructions for details.

No application fee is required.

☆Chinese/English

 

Classes are taught in Chinese. Students who do not meet the required Chinese proficiency must take a one-year Chinese course before entering professional studies.

☆For PhD students, only the teaching language of horticulture is English or Chinese, and the teaching language of other majors is Chinese. Applicants who apply for English-taught courses are required to provide proof of English proficiency: TOEFL score of 80 and above or IELTS 5.5 and above. Applicants whose native language or lingua franca are English do not need to provide the above proof.

Chinese Government Scholarship

1. Application channel and time

Applicants can directly log in to http://www.csc.edu.cn, studyinchina.csc.edu.cn or www.campuschina.org, open and click Application Online to apply online, the institution code of Northeast Agricultural University is 10224, apply for the project The category is B.

Applicants must send the paper application materials to the School of International Culture and Education of Northeast Agricultural University before April 15th of the enrollment year.

Note: Our school's independent enrollment only accepts applications for master's and doctoral programs. For other academic levels and application methods, please consult the local embassy or consulate for details.

 

2. Scholarship standards

  • Exemption of registration fee, tuition fee and on-campus accommodation fee;
  • Provide comprehensive medical insurance for Chinese government scholarships for international students in China;
  • According to the relevant standards and regulations of the China Scholarship Council, the living expenses of scholarship students will be paid. For those who need Chinese language tuition, the scholarship period will be increased by 1 year accordingly.
  • The school provides free on-campus accommodation for Chinese government scholarship students, with one room per person for doctoral students and master students.

 

3. Other instructions

  • Scholarship students are required to conduct experiments or internships beyond the school's teaching plan, and the excess expenses shall be borne by themselves.
  • The living expenses of the scholarship students will be paid monthly from the date of enrollment of the scholarship students. The Chinese government scholarship students who enjoy the living expenses should go to the International Students Management Office to confirm their registration according to the monthly sign-in notice, so as to smoothly receive the living expenses of the month.
  • New students who register before the 15th (including the 15th) of the month will receive a full-month scholarship living allowance; those who register after the 15th will receive a half-month scholarship living allowance. The scholarship living expenses of graduates will be paid to half a month after the graduation date is determined by the school. For those who suspend, drop out, or return to China after graduation, the scholarship living allowance will be suspended from next month.
  • Scholarship students who need to suspend their studies due to serious illnesses should return to their home countries for recuperation, and their travel expenses will be borne by themselves. After the school approves to suspend students and enjoy the scholarship qualification, the scholarship can be retained for up to one year, but the scholarship living allowance will be suspended during the suspension period. Scholarship students who suspend their studies due to other reasons, their qualifications for scholarships will not be retained.
  • Comprehensive insurance for international students studying in China under Chinese government scholarship: refers to the comprehensive medical insurance that is unified by the Ministry of Education of China for scholarship students in China. It is mainly used for the expenses paid by the students for hospitalization due to serious illness or personal accidental injury.
  • The Chinese Government Scholarship mainly supports the scholarship students themselves. If you need to bring accompanying family members, please pay for the expenses involved.
  • Scholarship recipients are not allowed to apply for transfer after coming to China.
  • All admitted scholarship recipients shall be reported by Northeast Agricultural University to the Management Committee of China Scholarship Council and the Ministry of Education of China for record.
  • After the scholarship recipient comes to China, in principle, they are not allowed to change the study major and study period specified in the "Admission Notice" signed and agreed by themselves.

 

 

Admission and registration

1. The School of International Culture and Education of Northeast Agricultural University will review the applicant's application materials and decide whether to admit or not. Northeast Agricultural University has the right to make appropriate adjustments to the applicant's chosen major and duration.

2. Those who need to study Chinese or take preparatory courses before professional study should pass the relevant examinations of the school during the Chinese remedial or preparatory study period before they can formally enter the professional study.

3. Northeast Agricultural University encourages applicants to contact their faculties and supervisors in advance (for details of faculties and majors, please refer to the "Catalogue of Departments and Majors of Northeast Agricultural University Accepting Foreign Students in China") If the applicant has already obtained an invitation letter from a department or a supervisor, please attach it to the application materials. The School of International Culture and Education of Northeast Agricultural University will consider priority admission.

4. All admitted applicants shall be reported to the Ministry of Education of China for the record by Northeast Agricultural University.

5. Northeast Agricultural University will send the "Admission Notice" and the "Visa Application Form for Studying in China" (JW201/202) to the student or the relevant department of the student's college before August 15. The relevant department will The above documents are forwarded to the students themselves.

6. Freshmen should register at the school within the specified time. Those who cannot register on time must have justified reasons and relevant certificates, and explain the situation to the International Student Management Office of the International Culture and Education College. Those who fail to register within two weeks without reason will be disqualified for admission.

Other

1. Once the applicant is found to have falsified in the application materials and personal information; or deliberately concealed his physical condition, the scholarship qualification of the student will be cancelled and reported to the China Scholarship Council and the Ministry of Education for the record.

2. Scholarship recipients should participate in the annual scholarship review in accordance with the "Chinese Government Scholarship Annual Review Measures". The content of the annual review includes academic performance, learning attitude, attendance, behavior and rewards and punishments.
