Northeast Agricultural University is located in the beautiful ice city of Harbin. It is a key university in Heilongjiang Province and the first batch of national key universities under the "211 Project". The school has 19 colleges and 1 teaching department. It has a complete education system for cultivating bachelor, master, doctor and postdoctoral students. There are 7 postdoctoral research mobile stations, 2 postdoctoral research stations, 32 doctoral authorization points, and 65 Master degree authorization points, 68 undergraduate majors, disciplines covering agriculture, engineering, science, economics, management, law, literature and other disciplines. There are 1,097 full-time teachers, including 195 professors and 256 associate professors; there are 18,516 full-time students, including 3,061 postgraduates, 15,873 undergraduates, and 166 long-term foreign students.
 
 

How to apply

Applicants can directly log in to http://laihua.csc.edu.cn to apply online. The institution code of Northeast Agricultural University is 10224. After applying online, send the required application materials to the International Exchange Office of Northeast Agricultural University.
 
 

Applicant qualifications

1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and in good health.
 
2. Applicant's academic qualifications and age requirements:
 
Those who come to China to study for a master's degree must have a bachelor's degree and be under the age of 35;
 
Those who come to China to study for a doctoral degree must have a master's degree and be under 40 years old.
 
3. Excellent academic performance.
 
4. Have strong scientific research capabilities.

Provision of application materials

Applicants must truthfully fill in and submit the following application materials:

1. "Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form" (uniformly printed by the China Scholarship Council), one original and one copy, filled in Chinese, English or native language.
 
2. The highest degree certificate that has been notarized. If the applicant is a school student or is already employed, he/she must also submit an enrollment certificate issued by the school or employment certificate issued by the employer. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
 
3. Scholars pursuing a master degree must provide transcripts of the undergraduate level; those pursuing a doctorate degree must provide transcripts of the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.
 
4. Study and research plan in China, no less than 800 words, written in Chinese or English.
 
5. Submit two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors, written in Chinese or English.
 
6. Published academic papers or academic achievements (if any)
 
7. If you have passed the HSK test, please provide a copy of the Chinese proficiency certificate.

9. "Foreigner Physical Examination Record" (copy, the original should be kept by yourself): This form is uniformly printed by the Chinese health and quarantine department. It is limited to those who have studied in China for more than 6 months and must be filled out in English. Applicants should strictly follow the items required in the "Foreigner Physical Examination Record" for inspection. The "Foreigner Physical Examination Record" that is missing, does not have a photo of the person affixed, or the photo is not stamped with a seam seal, is not signed and stamped by the doctor and the hospital, is invalid. Since the examination result is valid for 6 months, the applicant is requested to determine the time for the physical examination accordingly.
 
No matter whether they are admitted or not, the applicant's materials will not be returned.

Classes are taught in Chinese. Students who have no knowledge of Chinese must take a one-year Chinese course before entering professional studies. The scholarship period will be increased by 1 year for those who need Chinese language tuition
 
 

Scholarship content and standards

1 . Exemption from registration fee, tuition fee, experiment fee, internship fee, basic textbook fee and on-campus accommodation fee;
 
2 . Provide outpatient medical services and comprehensive medical insurance for international students coming to China on Chinese government scholarships;
 
3. The living expenses of scholarship students and one-off resettlement subsidies are provided. The living expenses are paid to them by the school on a monthly basis. The standard is (RMB/month):
 
Master's degree students: 1,700 yuan / person / month
 
Doctoral students: 2,000 yuan / person / month
 
A one-time placement fee will be paid to freshmen after coming to China: the standard is 1500 yuan (RMB)
 
International travel expenses: self-care.
 
 

Supplementary explanation about scholarship student fees

1. Scholarship students are required to conduct experiments or internships that exceed the school's teaching plan, and the excess expenses shall be borne by themselves.
 
2. Fees for basic textbooks: refer to the necessary textbooks designated by the school to provide scholarship students free of charge; other books and materials are at their own expense.
 
3. The living expenses of scholarship students will be paid monthly from the date of admission of scholarship students. New students who register before the 15th (including the 15th) of the month will receive a full monthly living allowance; those who register after the 15th will receive a half-month living allowance. The living expenses of graduates shall be paid half a month after the graduation date determined by the school. For those who suspend school, drop out or return to China after graduation, the living expenses will be suspended from next month. The living expenses will be issued during the school holidays; scholarship students who fail to receive the living expenses on time due to leave school during the holidays can be repaid after returning to school. Scholarship students who do not apply for leave but do not register on time, leave school for non-health reasons or absent from school for more than one month, will stop paying the living expenses for that month.

Scholarship students who need to suspend their studies due to serious illnesses should return to their home countries to recuperate and pay for their own travel expenses; after the school approves suspending students, the scholarship qualifications can be retained for up to one year, but living expenses will be suspended during the suspension period. Scholarship students who suspend their studies due to other reasons, their qualifications for scholarships will not be retained.
 
4. Outpatient medical expenses: refers to the daily outpatient expenses of students in the school hospital or the hospital designated by the school. After seeing a doctor, students need to pay a certain percentage of expenses by themselves in accordance with the relevant regulations of the school.
 
5. Chinese Government Scholarship Comprehensive Insurance for International Students in China: refers to the comprehensive medical insurance that is unified by the Ministry of Education of China for scholarship students in China. It is mainly used for the expenses paid by the students for hospitalization due to serious illness or personal accidental injury. The scholarship student’s school shall hold the relevant fee receipt and settle the claim to the insurance company in accordance with the pre-defined insurance clauses. Insurance companies do not accept personal claims.
 
 

Admission and notification

1. The International Exchange Office of Northeast Agricultural University will review the application materials of scholarship applicants and decide whether to admit or not. Northeast Agricultural University has the right to make appropriate adjustments to the applicant's chosen major and duration. If the applicant's conditions or application materials do not meet the regulations and requirements, the application will be deemed invalid and will not be accepted.
 
2. For those who apply from abroad to study for a master's or doctoral degree in China, if their academic level does not meet the requirements of ordinary Chinese colleges and universities, our school will determine the types of students admitted or make conditional admissions. If you need to study Chinese before majoring or take preparatory courses, you should pass the relevant examinations of the school during the Chinese remedial or preparatory study period before they can officially enter the majors.
 
3. Northeast Agricultural University encourages applicants to contact their faculties and supervisors in advance (the choice of faculties and departments is limited to the section of "Introduction to the Directory of Colleges and Universities Accepting Chinese Government Scholarships for International Students in China" and Northeast Agricultural University), if the applicant has already obtained Please attach the letter of invitation from the department or supervisor to the application materials, and the International Exchange Office of Northeast Agricultural University will directly admit it.
 
4. All admitted applicants shall be reported by Northeast Agricultural University to the Management Committee of China Scholarship Council and the Ministry of Education of China for record.
 
5. After coming to China, scholarship recipients are not allowed to change the study major and study period specified in the "Admission Notice" signed and approved by themselves, and they are not allowed to apply for transfer.
 
6. Northeast Agricultural University will send the "Admission Notice" and "Visa Application Form for Studying in China" (JW201 Form) to the student or the relevant department of the student's institution before July 31, and the relevant department will forward the above documents The student himself.
 
 

Admissions major

Major recommended by the school: food science, biochemistry and molecular biology, botany, agricultural mechanization engineering, crop cultivation and farming, crop genetics and breeding, vegetable science, animal genetics and breeding, animal nutrition and feed science, basic animal Majors in medicine, agricultural economics and management, and other optional majors are shown in Annex 1.
 
 

Other

1. The scholarship recipients should participate in the annual scholarship review in accordance with the "Chinese Government Scholarship Annual Review Measures".
 
2. If scholarship students cannot complete their studies on time due to personal reasons, the scholarship period will not be extended.
 
3. Scholarship students who need to suspend their studies due to serious illnesses should return to their home country for recuperation and pay for their own travel expenses; the scholarship qualifications can be retained for up to one year upon the approval of the school to suspend students. Scholarship students who suspend their studies due to other reasons, their qualifications for scholarships will not be retained.
