International Student Admissions
The 21 colleges (departments) of our school currently enroll international students from 110 countries or regions, and about 1,000 foreign international students are studying in our school every year. The enrollment levels include undergraduate students, master students, doctoral students, language students, and advanced students; funding categories include Chinese government scholarship students, Confucius Institute scholarship students and self-financed students; teaching languages include Chinese and English.
Undergraduate degree programs: Northeast Normal University has 22 departments and 67 undergraduate majors that recruit international students. International students should submit their applications before June 20 each year. After the International Students Department reviews the student materials, the "Admission Notice" will be issued to the international students who pass the review. International students should register at the school on the date specified in the "Admission Notice".

Postgraduate degree programs: Northeast Normal University has 127 master's programs and 63 doctoral programs in 20 faculties to recruit international students. Its masters and doctors in education, biology, chemistry, geography, ecology, psychology, and economics Level majors can be taught in English. International students should submit their applications before June 20 each year. After the International Students Department reviews the student materials, the "Admission Notice" will be issued to the international students who pass the review. International students should register at the school on the date specified in the "Admission Notice". In principle, the admission requirements and training methods for international students are the same as those of Chinese students, and convergence management is implemented.

Chinese Language Program: The Chinese Language Program is managed by the International School of Chinese Studies, Northeast Normal University. There are 9 levels of courses from elementary class to the advanced class, providing compulsory courses such as Chinese, speaking, listening, reading, Chinese characters, topic communication, film and television appreciation, advanced synthesis, idioms, writing, etc. and film and television appreciation, erhu, calligraphy, Tai Chi, etc. Elective courses such as Chinese folk dance, strengthening of Chinese proficiency, and paper-cutting. This project is based on semesters, the spring semester is from March to July, and the fall semester is from September to January of the following year. International students planning to enroll in the March semester should submit applications before December 20, and international students planning to enroll in the September semester should submit applications before June 20.
Short-term advanced student program: Northeast Normal University organizes a short-term advanced program for foreign students during the summer vacation. The study period generally ranges from one week to two months. The learning content is mainly professional courses or courses in Chinese and Chinese culture.
