2021 International Graduate Admissions Guide
1. Project introduction
Nanjing University of Science and Technology is a "high-level, research-oriented, and international" domestic first-class comprehensive university with international influence. There are currently 13 professional colleges with 18 first-level discipline doctorate authorization points and 17 master degree authorization points, covering 108 second-level disciplines for international students to apply, covering engineering, science, economics, management, law, and literature, etc. Nine disciplines. In the long-term development process, the school has formed a "1+3+6+N" leading discipline advantage. The four disciplines of engineering, chemistry, materials science, and computer science have entered the top 1% of ESI international disciplines. Among them, Engineering is in the top 1‰. The length of the master's degree is 2.5 years, and the length of the doctoral degree is 4 years. For graduates of subjects and majors that use Chinese as the professional teaching language, their Chinese proficiency should reach the "International Chinese Language Proficiency Standards" or HSK Level 5; for graduates of subjects and majors that use English as the professional teaching language, their Chinese proficiency should at least reach the "International Chinese Language Proficiency Standards" or HSK Level 5. 2. Application conditions
(1) Non-Chinese citizens who are physically and mentally healthy, have a good academic background, consciously abide by Chinese laws and school rules and regulations, and respect the customs and habits of the Chinese people.
(2) Applicant's academic qualifications and age requirements
To apply for a master's degree program, you should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent certificate (a bachelor's degree must be obtained before admission at the latest), and the age should not be more than 30;
To apply for a doctoral degree program, one must have a master's degree or equivalent certificate (a master's degree must be obtained at the latest before admission) and be under 35 years of age.
(3) Language requirements
Applicants who apply for Chinese-taught majors must reach level 4 or above in the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK);
Applicants who apply for majors taught in English and whose language of education is not English must have an IELTS score of 5.5 or higher, a TOEFL score of 80 or higher, or a Duolingo score of 85 or higher.

4. The application process
(1) Online application
After logging in to http://admission.njust.edu.cn or https://njust.17gz.org/, follow the online instructions to fill in the required application information, upload the application materials online, and submit them online.
(2) Pay the application fee
Note: The application fee will not be refunded regardless of admission
5. Application materials
(1) Valid passport
(2) Transcript issued by the school
Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must provide notarized Chinese or English translations.
Note: If the applicant is a student who is already studying in Mainland China, he/she must also submit a certificate of enrollment and a certificate of consent to transfer issued by the school where he/she is studying.

Applicants for English-taught courses must provide copies of IELTS, TOEFL, or Duolingo scores;
Applicants for courses taught in Chinese must provide a copy of the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) certificate.
(5) Research plan
Submit a study and research plan in China (not less than 800 words), written in Chinese or English. The content should include personal study, work experience, academic research results, research fields and research plans to be selected at the master's or doctoral level, and personal development goals after graduation, etc.
(6) Recommendation letter
Submit recommendation letters from 2 professors or associate professors from the graduate school; the recommendation credit is written in Chinese or English. The letter of recommendation must include the phone number and email of the recommender.
(7) Published academic articles or academic achievements (if any)

Applicants are advised to contact the appropriate advisors of our school to obtain their willingness to accept. The "Tutor Acceptance Letter" is filled out by the instructor and attached to the application materials.
(9) Physical examination form for foreigners, which must be filled out in Chinese or English
Applicants should strictly follow the items of the foreigner's medical examination form for inspection. Applications that are missing, unsealed, or without the signature and seal of the physician shall be deemed invalid. Because the examination result is valid for 6 months, the applicant is requested to determine the time for the physical examination accordingly.

6. Registration time
To be determined. Admitted students must go to Nanjing University of Science and Technology to complete the registration procedures for freshmen according to the date and requirements specified in the admission notice. For specific information, please refer to the email and official website notice.
(1) Application fee:
500 yuan (approximately US$80), regardless of admission or not, will not be refunded;
(2) Tuition fee:
Chinese-taught courses for postgraduate students: 24,000 yuan/year (approximately US$3460/year)
English-taught courses for postgraduate students: 36,000 yuan/year (approximately US$5190/year)
Chinese-taught courses for doctoral students: 36,000 yuan/year (approximately US$5190/year)
English-taught courses for doctoral students: 44,200 yuan/year (approximately US$6,380/year)

Did not receive any other forms of scholarship funding.
