Confucius Institute Scholarship

Project Description

To promote the international promotion of Chinese language and the spread of Chinese culture, and support the construction of Confucius Institutes and the sustainable development of international Chinese language education, Hanban (hereinafter referred to as Hanban) established the Confucius Institute Scholarship to fully subsidize foreign students, scholars, and Chinese teachers to study in China. The scholarship covers tuition, accommodation, basic teaching materials, one-time placement fees, and living expenses.

Peking University currently accepts Confucius Institute Scholarship winners as one academic year/ One-semester Chinese general advanced students or master students study at Peking University.
 

Application form

Ordinary scholars: outstanding students from Confucius Institutes (Classrooms) in various countries, winners of the "Chinese Bridge" competition, outstanding Chinese students from foreign universities.

Master students: outstanding students from Confucius Institutes (Classrooms) in various countries, winners of the "Chinese Bridge" Chinese ContestOverseas local Chinese language teachers, outstanding graduates of Chinese majors from foreign universities.
 

Review process

Students submit application materials to the Office of Foreign Affairs and Hanban

Stay for the preliminary review

Ordinary scholars are comprehensively evaluated by the Confucius Institute Scholarship review panel

The Graduate School of Business Enrollment will conduct an assessment and give pre-admission opinions

The retention office will summarize the pre-admission results and report to the Hanban

Pending final approval from Hanban, leave the office to make and issue admission notices
