Shanghai University is a comprehensive university affiliated to Shanghai and a key construction of the national "211 Project". 11. Can I book the dormitory of Shanghai University in advance?

The Shanghai University International Student Apartment Building adopts an online reservation system. All students will book rooms online during the opening period of the reservation window, and the scheduled time will be notified to the students by email.

Online reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis. Students who miss the scheduled time or fail to make a reservation will not be able to check-in. In the case of housing permits, it is possible to open the second round of the booking window, please pay attention to the email notification in time.

 

12. If I am admitted to Shanghai University, can I reserve a designated room?

No. Online reservations will automatically allocate campuses and room types based on student status. In principle, degree students live in the Baoshan campus, language students live in Yanchang campus, and other students will be allocated according to the location of the college.

 

13. Do I need to pay a deposit to stay in the dormitory of Shanghai University?

A deposit (RMB1000) is required for online booking, and the deposit will automatically be used to cover the room charge when checking in. If you fail to check in on time after booking, the room will not be reserved and the deposit will not be refunded.

 

14. I am studying at Shanghai University, what type of dormitory do I live in?

The dormitory rooms for international students are arranged by the Logistic Service Center of the college. In principle, language students, undergraduates, and graduate students are arranged in double or quadruple rooms, and doctoral students are arranged in single rooms.

 

15. Can I use the induction cooker in the dormitory of Shanghai University?

It is forbidden to use electric blankets, induction cookers, electric ovens, electric frying pans, electric frying pans, electric heaters, electric irons and other electrical equipment with high power or power above 1000W and low-quality electrical appliances.

 

16. Does the dormitory of Shanghai University have access control?

The apartment building has a 24-hour access control system. Only one swipe card is provided to each student to access the building. Please return to the apartment before 24:00 or register for late access in advance if returning later than 24:00.

19. How to pay for the accommodation fees of Shanghai University?

You can choose to pay online or pay on-site when you check-in.

A. For online remittance, please present the remittance voucher upon check-in.

B. On-site payment can choose Renminbi cash or credit card payment (1. International credit cards or debit or credit cards handled by Bank of China overseas branches are subject to bank handling fees. 2. Bank cards handled in China do not need to pay handling fees).
