Admissions Method

Eligibility for application

1. Non-Chinese citizens, in good health;

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education of China, residents of Mainland China (Mainland), Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan who have immigrated to foreign countries as foreign students must hold a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for more than 4 years (inclusive), and the last 4 years (As of April 30, 2021), they have actually lived abroad for more than 2 years (the actual living abroad for 9 months in a year can be calculated as 1 year, subject to entry and exit stamps).

2. Language requirements

2.1 To apply for majors taught in Chinese, the scores of the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) within the past two years should meet the following standards:

HSK can be exempted in the following situations:

Chinese is the mother tongue or common language;

Completely studied the academic program in Chinese and obtained a certificate.

2.2 To apply for an English-taught major, the English proficiency must meet any of the following:

English is the mother tongue or official language;

IELTS (A) score of 6.5 or above or TOEFL score of 90 or above (including, TOEFL MyBestTM Score is accepted) or other internationally recognized English proficiency test with equivalent scores in the past two years, and the score certificate should be submitted ；

Have obtained an academic certificate in a country where English is the native language.

3. The academic level must meet the following conditions:

3.1 Have a bachelor's degree

Fresh graduates who have not obtained a degree certificate at the time of application need to provide a pre-graduation certificate issued by their school or college to prove that the applicant is capable of successfully graduating and obtaining a degree certificate before July 2021.

3.2 Have a relevant undergraduate professional background or have taken a relevant professional course at the undergraduate level, with a grade point of 2.5 (inclusive) or above (Note: GPA 4-point system).

3.3 Shanghai University tutor review and acceptance

Choose a tutor when choosing a major in the online application system, and get the tutor's approval.

Note: It is not necessary to select tutors online to apply for the master's degree programs of the following colleges. The qualified applicants will be arranged by professional colleges after registration: School of Economics, MBA Center, Sydney Business School;

3.4 To apply for an art major, you must have an art professional background and provide a portfolio;

3.5 Individual colleges require those with work experience to be admitted first, such as MBA centers.

Important time

1. Application time: January 08, 2021 to June 30, 2021

2. Start time: end of August-early September 2021

3. Check-in time: the specific check-in time will be announced on the official website.

Application materials

The following materials should be prepared in complete and clear electronic files (PDF or JPG and other formats).

♦ Copy of passport information page

♦ Passport-size ID photo (without headgear, front view, blue background, one-inch ID photo (390*570), JPG format, within the past six months)

The size is within 100K);

♦ Upload a small video (content: self-introduction and study plan in China, format: avi, mov, mp4 can be three kinds, language: according to the teaching language of the applied major, the size is within 50M);

♦ Copy of undergraduate graduation certificate or degree certificate (new graduates can provide the original or notarized copy of the pre-graduation certificate);

♦ Copy of all course transcripts at the undergraduate level;

♦ A copy of the language proficiency certificate or a screenshot of the results webpage (the original certificate must be provided for reference during registration);

♦ Two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors or experts in related fields (signature and contact information of the recommender are required);

♦ Select a tutor online, and get the tutor's approval (Note: It is not necessary to select a tutor online to apply for the master's degree program of the following colleges, and meet the conditions

After the applicants register and register, the professional college will arrange tutors: School of Economics, MBA Center, Sydney Business School);

♦ Study and research plans in China. According to the teaching language of the applied major, choose to write in Chinese or English (not less than 800 words);

♦ Economic guarantee certificate (download the template at http://apply.shu.edu.cn);

♦ No criminal record certificate

Note: If you cannot obtain a certificate of no criminal record in your home country, you can sign the "No Criminal Record Commitment" with the school, and you can download the template at http://apply.shu.edu.cn.

♦ Art majors must provide at least two related works;

Note:

1. Documents that are not in Chinese or English must be attached with a notarized or Chinese/English translation provided by the issuing unit;

2. You only need to upload the scanned copy of the above materials when applying, and provide the original copy for reference when the journal is opened.

Expense Standard (Unit: RMB)

Note:

1. The school is the master's major of Sydney Business School, tuition and prepaid tuition need to be paid to the account of Sydney Business School;

2. Regardless of whether you are admitted or not, the registration fee will not be refunded. Please refer to the "Shanghai University International Student Prepaid Tuition Policy Explanation" for the refund of the prepaid tuition.
