Rehabilitation Physiotherapy Admissions Guide

 (four-year program)

 

1. Training goals:

The rehabilitation physiotherapy major has obtained the international certification of the World Federation of Physiotherapists (WCPT), which aims to train rehabilitation physiotherapists who meet the needs of economic, social, cultural, and technological development. This major is set to cultivate high humanities, familiar with the basic knowledge of rehabilitation medicine, master modern and traditional physical therapy knowledge and technology and clinical skills, and comply with international industry standards. Graduating with good professional quality and attitude, solid professional foundation and basic rehabilitation physical assessment and clinical skills, full of innovation and lifelong learning ability, become a rehabilitation physical therapist who can engage in physical therapy work in relevant institutions at home and abroad.

 

2. Main courses:

The main courses are neuro physiotherapy, musculoskeletal physical therapy, cardiopulmonary physical therapy, and children's physical therapy.

 

The main courses are Human Anatomy, Physiology, Human Development, Human Kinesiology, Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, Chinese Traditional Rehabilitation Fundamentals, Physical Therapy Assessment, Manual Therapy, Chinese Traditional Rehabilitation Skills, Clinical Inference, and Decision-Making, Prosthetics and Orthopedics, physical therapy for the elderly, acupuncture and massage, etc.

 

3. Graduation and degree award:

According to the courses stipulated in the "Guiding Teaching Plan", those who pass the exam and reach the required credits are allowed to graduate. At the same time meet the required grade point requirements, pass various comprehensive examinations, and applicants who have reached the new version of the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK) level 5 ≥ 180 points or level 4 ≥ 210 points (except for Chinese descent), approved by the school degree committee, awarded Bachelor of Science degree.

 

4. Types of classes:

Study in large classes with less than 10 people; independent classes with more than 10 people.

 

5. Application time:

December 1, 2020-June 15, 2021

 

6. Enrollment time:

In September 2021, the specific time is subject to the "Admission Notice" and "Registration Notes".

 

7. Admission requirements:

High school or more; General Certificate of Education Advanced Level  (hereinafter referred to as A-Level course ), the I B, or AP course required transcripts, by audit.

The new Chinese Proficiency Test ( HSK ) Level 5 ≥ 180 points ( except Chinese )

Residents of Mainland China (Mainland), Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan who apply for admission as international students after immigrating to foreign countries must hold a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for 4 years (inclusive) and the latest 4 years (as of April 2021 ) Before the 30th of the month ), there is a record of actual residence abroad for more than 2 years (the actual residence abroad for 9 months in a year can be calculated as one year, subject to entry and exit signatures).

 

8. Charging standard:

Registration fee of RMB 450 Yuan/person

Please refer to the " Overview of International Students' Accommodation on Campus in 2020 " (Annex 1 ) (The current standard of accommodation fees is for reference only ). Dormitory at the school admission arrangements by the overall arrangements for the dormitory, in 2021 Nian 7 mid-month notification. If there is any change in the standard of accommodation fees, it will be implemented according to the standard of 2021.

Remarks:

Please be sure to use a clear headless frontal registration photo. This photo will be used to make the campus card logo. If it does not meet the standards, it will affect the use of the campus card after enrollment.

 

10. Instructions for application:

All application materials must be filled in and uploaded accurately according to the requirements of the online application. The website for online application is http://apply.shutcm.edu.cn. Materials that are not specifically required can be uploaded in the "Additional Materials" column.

Please fill in the information of the financial guarantor truthfully. If necessary, the school will notify the applicant to submit the financial guarantee certificate and/or the income certificate of the financial guarantor separately.

The school uses the application material review method to confirm whether the student is admitted. After accepting the application materials, after the school’s admissions team has reviewed and approved, send the "Admission Notice" and "Study Visa Application Form" (JW202 Form or JW201 Form) to the applicant. The application fee will not be refunded due to incomplete application materials, non-admission after the materials are accepted, or the student's voluntarily abandoning admission.

Applicants for the Chinese Government Scholarship must submit the "Physical Examination Form for Foreigners" (Annex 4); applicants for the Shanghai Government Scholarship must submit the "Physical Examination Form for Foreigners" (Annex 4) or "Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine International Students Application Shanghai Government Physical Examination Form for Scholarship" (Attachment 5).

After the applicants are admitted, they must bring the original application materials and the original health certificate (or medical certificate) for verification when they enter the journal; the corrected vision of any eye (after wearing glasses or orthokeratology) to 4.8 lens power greater than 800 degrees Those who are blind in one eye and corrected to a lens power of 4.8 or greater than 400 degrees in the other eye, have hearing within 3 meters in both ears, or have hearing in one ear at 5 meters and total deafness in the other ear, strabismus, squint, or stuttering, should not apply for me School; if you have a chronic disease for which you are not sure whether you can enroll, please confirm with the school before submitting the application materials.

If it is found to be inconsistent with the content of the application materials, the school has the right to cancel the applicant's admission qualification. According to national policy, the school implements a full insurance system for international students. After arriving at the school, students must purchase insurance by the regulations, and the insurance period is one year each time. Those who fail to pay premiums by the country's regulations in the current year (the premium for 2020 is RMB 800 per year) will not be registered or will be withdrawn from school. 11. Scholarship:

Chinese Government Scholarship

The funding standards for Chinese government scholarships shall be implemented by the "Notice of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Education on Improving the Chinese Government Scholarship Funding System and Raising Funding Standards" and other relevant documents. For students who apply for Chinese Government Scholarship Category A to the Chinese Embassy in various countries, if they apply for our school as their first choice, applicants can contact the Admissions Office of the School of International Education of our school to obtain the "Pre-admission Notice" from our school; directly recommended by our school Students who apply for the Chinese Government Scholarship Category B do not need the "Pre-admission Notice".

Special Note:

The referees of the Chinese Government Scholarship Category B are directly selected by the school from the students who have obtained the Shanghai Government Scholarship for Foreign Students. It is recommended that students applying for the Shanghai Government Scholarship for Foreign Students complete the application before April 30 and directly apply when applying. Use the "Foreigner Physical Examination Form" (Attachment 4).

Shanghai Government Scholarship for Foreign Students

Established by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. The payment standard of the Shanghai Government Scholarship for Foreign Students shall be implemented by the "Notice on Further Improving the Shanghai Government Scholarship Funding System for Foreign Students and Raising the Funding Standards" and other relevant documents. "Credit Bank" for International Students of Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine

According to the "Interim Regulations on the Use of Credit Banks for International Students of Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine" (Annex 3), the items (courses) that can be recognized or transferred by international students studying for undergraduate courses in the "Credit Bank" before and after admission, Accumulation within the prescribed academic system can be regarded as the degree elective courses that have completed the corresponding credits and can be used as the basis for tuition reduction or exemption for self-financed students.
