Master's Admissions Guide

Applicant qualifications

1. Non-Chinese citizens, physically and mentally healthy;

2. Under 35 years old;

3. Possess a bachelor degree certificate;

4. HSK Level 4 or above 200 (within the validity period) or IELTS 6.0/ TOEFL 80 or above;

5. Some majors also require applicants to meet other application requirements. For details, see the list of majors.

Application materials

1. The highest degree certificate, graduation certificate or degree certificate. If the applicant is about to graduate or is already employed, he must also submit the pre-graduation certificate issued by the school or the employment certificate issued by the employer;

2. A complete transcript of the previous study period and the grading standard of the school you attended;

3. Two recommendation letters from associate professors or professors (all recommendation letters must be signed by the recommender and attached with work unit, contact information and official seal of the unit);

4. Proof of language proficiency: applicants for Chinese-taught majors must provide a scanned copy of the HSK certificate, and English-taught majors must provide a scanned copy of the IELTS or TOEFL test score certificate;

5. "Foreigner Physical Examination Record" (please keep the original copy by yourself for use when applying for a visa);

6. "Certificate of No Criminal Record" issued by the local police station or court ;

7. ID photo;

8. Ordinary passport valid for more than 1 year;

9. Research plan of more than 800 words;

10. Publicly published academic papers, patents or other research results (if any, please provide).

Note:

1. Before applying online, please prepare electronic files of the above materials in JPEG or PDF format;

2. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations;

Online application and admission procedures

1. Online application

( 1 ) Log in to the online application website https://swu.17gz.org to complete the registration;

( 2 ) Download and fill in the "Foreigner Physical Examination Record" form, and have a physical examination at the local public hospital. Applicants should strictly follow the items required in the table for inspection. Forms with missing items, no photo of the person affixed or no stamp on the photo, no signature and seal of the doctor and hospital are invalid. The inspection result is valid for 6 months;

( 3 ) After logging in and entering the online application system, fill in the application information as required and upload the application materials;

( 4 ) After confirming that the information and uploaded materials are correct, click Submit;

( 5 ) After receiving the e-mail of the evaluation result notification, please pay the 500 yuan registration fee before the deadline.

2. Review and admission:

(1) from early April to late June, Southwest University will organize a monthly review of the material;

( 2 ) Applicants will be screened through the procedures of preliminary review, review, language proficiency interview, and department review;

( 3 ) We will notify the applicants of the admission result by email and notify the students to pay the registration fee;

( 4 ) Southwest University will send the Admission Notice and Visa Application Form ( JW202 Form) in batches before July 15 each year.

3. Note:

( 1 ) If you need to apply for a scholarship, please check the scholarship application option when creating an application, otherwise it will be processed as a self-funded application;

( 2 ) The audit content of the department is determined by the department itself, including but not limited to inspection methods such as written examinations, interviews, and random inspections of papers;

( 3 ) Applicants who have paid the registration fee within the prescribed time limit will receive the relevant admission materials. Failure to pay the registration fee within the specified time period will be deemed to have waived the admission qualification;

( 4 ) The student's personal information in the admission notice and "Visa Application Form" ( JW202 form) are automatically generated by the online application system. Please ensure that the personal information filled in the system is accurate and complete.

Expenses

1. Application fee: 500 yuan/person

2. Accommodation fees

Single room: 12,000 yuan / person / academic year
Double room: 9000 yuan / person / academic year
Quadruple room: 6000 yuan / person / academic year

3. Tuition fee standard (unit: yuan/person / year)

Note: All the expenses involved in the above 2-4 must be paid in full at the time of registration and cannot be instalmented. Enrollment procedures can only be processed after the payment is completed.
