Applicant qualifications

►Non -Chinese citizens, physically and mentally healthy, over 18 years old;

►Requires a master's degree;

► having HSK4 Chinese stage 180 points or more in the level;

Note: Those whose Chinese level does not meet the admission requirements must take a one-year Chinese tuition before major studies

Application materials

► "Application Form for Foreign Students from Southwest University to Study in China" (in duplicate, including one copy)

►Copy of master's degree certificate and transcript of master's stage. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations (in duplicate, including one copy).

► A copy of HSK Level 4 or another Chinese proficiency certificate (if any, please provide)

► Signature Two letters of professors or associate professors

► less than 800 words of study or research program (written in English and Chinese)

►Works CD: Students applying for music majors must submit CDs of their own works, and students applying for fine arts majors must submit CDs of their works ( 2 sketches, 2 color paintings, 2 other works).

►Public published academic papers, patents or other research results (if any, please provide)

►Two passport size photos (please write the name of the applicant and the name of the major on the back of the photo)

►Passport copy (valid ordinary passport)

►Two copies of the "Foreigner Physical Examination Record" (the originals should be kept by yourself for the purpose of applying for a study visa in China)

Application and admission procedures

Online application and admission procedures:

►Log in to Southwest University's online application website for international students ( https://swu.17gz.org/member/login.do ) and complete the registration and login steps such as online user name registration, password setting, and verification code input.

►Click on the "Download Form" on the Southwest University International Student Online Application website ( https://swu.17gz.org/member/login.do ) to download the "Southwest University Foreign Student Application Form for Studying in China" and the "Foreigner Physique" Inspection records";

►Fill in the "Application Form for Foreign Students from Southwest University to Study in China" and have a physical examination at the local public hospital. Applicants should strictly follow the items required in the "Foreigner Physical Examination Record" for inspection. The "Foreigner Physical Examination Record" that is missing, does not have a photo of the person affixed, or the photo is not stamped with a seam seal, is not signed and stamped by the doctor and the hospital, is invalid. In view of the fact that the examination result is valid for 6 months, the applicant is requested to determine the time for the physical examination accordingly;

►Log in to the website, fill in / select information as required, and upload the required application materials;

►After confirming that the information filling / selection and uploading materials are correct, click Submit;

►Southwest University organizes on-campus experts to review the application materials;

►Southwest University publishes the list of admitted students on the website http://gjxy.swu.edu.cn , and informs the applicants by e-mail;

►Admitted students pay an application fee of RMB 400 to Southwest University (relevant bank information is attached);

►Southwest University will send the Admission Notice and Visa Application Form ( JW202 Form) to admitted students before the end of June each year.

►Download from the download area of the website http://gjxy.swu.edu.cn , or contact the Foreign Student Admissions Office of Southwest University to obtain the "Southwest University Foreign Student Application Form for Studying in China" and the "Foreigner Physical Examination Record";

►Fill in the "Application Form for Foreign Students from Southwest University to Study in China" and have a physical examination at the local public hospital. Applicants should strictly follow the items required in the "Foreigner Physical Examination Record" for inspection. ►Admitted students pay an application fee of RMB 400 to Southwest University (relevant bank information is attached);

Note: The above application materials will not be returned regardless of whether the applicant is admitted or not.
