Comprehensive evaluation scholarship

1. General

To further regulate the management of foreign students, encourage foreign students to study hard, abide by laws and regulations, become students with excellent academic performance, and increase the attractiveness of our school to international students, these measures are formulated.

The Southwestern University of Finance and Economics International Education College International Students Comprehensive Evaluation Scholarship (hereinafter referred to as the "scholarship") refers to international students who have studied at our school for more than one semester (including one semester). Based on their academic performance and comprehensive performance, the student submits a written application and Those qualified by the International Education Institute will be awarded scholarships of the corresponding level.

 

2. Organization

The International Education College of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics has established a scholarship review team to be responsible for the final review of the scholarship. The group leader is the school-level leader of the International Education College, the deputy group leader is the deputy school-level leader of the International Education College, and the group members are the directors of the offices of the International Education College or the staff designated by the offices.

The work organization under the evaluation team is the International Student Management Office of the International Education College, which is responsible for comprehensively organizing and coordinating scholarship applications, evaluation, and distribution.

 

3. The number of scholarships and bonus standards

3.1 First prize: RMB 2,000, based on 0.5% of the total number of international students at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in the current semester (rounded up, the same below) to determine the quota;

3.2 Second prize: RMB 1,000, based on 1.5% of the total number of international students from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in the current semester;

3.3 Third prize: RMB 500, based on 3% of the total number of international students from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in the current semester;

3.4 Special award for academic performance: RMB 300, based on 1% of the total number of international students from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in the current semester;

3.5 Extracurricular performance special award: RMB 300, based on 1% of the total number of international students of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in the current semester.

 

4. Eligibility of scholarship applicants

4.1 Foreign students who have studied at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics for more than one semester (including one semester) and will continue to study at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics for at least one semester;

4.2 A serious study attitude, with an attendance rate of over 90% (except for approved sick leave);

4.3 Comply with Chinese laws and regulations and Southwestern University of Finance and Economics Discipline and School Rules, and no illegal or criminal acts.

 

5. Scholarship assessment content and standards

5.1 Assessment content

1) Academic performance. That is, the scores of each course obtained by the applicant in the semester in which the application is submitted (the final exam score shall prevail, and the course without the final exam shall be subject to the comprehensive evaluation given by the instructor);

2) Learning attitude and attendance. Applicants should respect the teachers, unite their classmates, and be diligent in learning, and the attendance rate in the semester when the application is submitted should be above 90% (inclusive);

3) Extracurricular performance. Abide by relevant laws and various rules and regulations, and actively participate in school activities and off-campus public welfare activities;

4) The various rewards and punishments received during the semester when the application is submitted;

5) The Special Award for Academic Achievement and the Special Award for Extracurricular Performance respectively mainly examine the applicant's classroom learning and extracurricular performance, focusing on encouraging unilateral outstanding performance and no bad record in other areas.

 

5.2 Evaluation standards

1) The evaluation criteria for the first, second, and third prizes are based on a 100-point system, and the corresponding scores will be made by the instructor of the Chinese language course (or the instructor of the training college where the degree student is located) and the offices of the International Education College. The specific scores are as follows:
International students' academic performance: 40 points Teacher (or instructor of the training college where the degree student is located): 10 points International Student Admissions Office: 10 points International Education College Administrative Office: 10 Points International Education College International Student Management Office: 20 points The Chinese Language Teaching and Research Office of the International Education Institute: 10 points are ranked from high to low;

2) The Special Award for Academic Achievement will be selected by the Chinese Language Teaching and Research Office of the School of International Education to directly nominate eligible applicants, and the Special Award for Extracurricular Performance will be directly nominated by the International Student Management Office of the School of International Education to select eligible candidates from the applicants.

 

6. Scholarship application and evaluation method

6.1 The scholarship is applied once in the fall/spring semester of each academic year. The application period is the last four weeks of each semester. Applications not submitted within the application period will not be accepted. The evaluation of the scholarship will be carried out by the principle of "justice, openness, and fairness" within four weeks after the start of the second semester.

6.2 The International Student Management Office of the School of International Education is responsible for accurately and promptly propagating scholarships to international students, issuing application forms and related materials, and doing a good job of answering questions and explaining;

6.3 Qualified international students should fill in the application form accurately and completely and submit it to the International Student Management Office before the deadline;

6.4 The International Student Management Office is responsible for collecting and sorting out the application forms, passing the valid application forms to the relevant offices for review in turn, and collecting the application forms after each relevant office completes their respective assessments, and submitting the list of candidates to be submitted to the review team Audit by the leader and deputy team leader;

6.5 After the assessment team leader and deputy team leader have finalized the list of candidates to be selected, the International Student Management Office will publicize the candidates for a period of 7 days;

6.6 For students who have passed the public announcement, the International Education Institute will organize a scholarship issuance ceremony, award bonuses, and certificates, and announce the award-winning students through various forms.

 

7. Other

7.1 These measures shall be implemented from the date of promulgation;

7.2 The School of International Education of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics is responsible for the final interpretation of these measures.
