Chengdu Sister City Scholarship

To further promote the education and international exchanges and cooperation between Chengdu and Chengdu’s international sister cities (including international friendly and cooperative cities, hereinafter referred to as sister cities), and attract more foreign students to study and exchange in Chengdu’s universities, the Chengdu Municipal People’s Government has set up the "Chengdu International Sister City Government Scholarship for International Students" (hereinafter referred to as scholarship).


1. Basic application conditions

1.1 Citizens of sister cities with foreign nationality, friendly to China, and healthy.

1.2 Comply with the laws and regulations of the Chinese government and perform well in China.

1.3 Correct learning attitude, no violation of school rules and regulations, and good grades.

1.4 Obtain the admission notice for the students in our school.

1.5 The study time at school shall not be less than three months.

1.6 Born in or have worked or studied in a sister city of Chengdu, and provide corresponding valid official certificates. Please refer to the attachment for the list of sister cities and official certificate templates.


Foreign students who have received other types of government scholarships are no longer eligible to apply for scholarships.


2. Scholarship standards

2.1 Doctoral students 30,000 yuan/academic year, the term does not exceed 3 academic years

2.2 Master's degree students 25,000 yuan/academic year, the term does not exceed 3 academic years

2.3 Undergraduates 20,000 yuan/academic year, the term does not exceed 4 academic years

2.4 Non-academic education exchange students, 10,000 yuan per month (excluding summer vacation in July and August), the cumulative maximum is no more than 10,000 yuan, and a one-time award will be implemented. It is calculated from the year of the award and cannot be repeated within 3 years.

Note: This scholarship requires the winner to participate in a review every year.


3. Application materials

Please prepare and submit the application materials according to the requirements listed in the "Chengdu Sister City Scholarship Application Form".


4. The application process

Applicants who intend to apply for the Chengdu Sister Cities Scholarship should fill in the "Chengdu Sister Cities Scholarship Application Form" (the application form can be downloaded from the website of the International Education College of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics) and submit it together with other relevant materials required in the application form To the International Student Management Office (201 Office) of the School of International Education, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics.
