Tianjin, with a population of approximately fifteen million, is one of the four municipalities directly under China’s central government and is the fifteenth largest city in the world. Located in the center of Bohai Rim Economic Ring, Tianjin is an international harbor and ecological city. As the economic center of northern China, Tianjin is one of the three centers of economy, finance, trade, and shipping in mainland China. It takes about 30 minutes to travel to Beijing from Tianjin by express train. The average temperature in Tianjin is around 11.3℃. More specifically, the warmest temperatures are reached in July (26℃) while the lowest temperatures are typically reached in January (-4℃). Spring and autumn are short and warm in Tianjin.
