Hold board meeting
On December 9th, the 2020 Council Meeting of the Confucius Institute at Assumption University in Thailand was held at the same time as an online conference at Assumption University.
Lu Fuping, Deputy Secretary of the party committee and principal of our school, Li Zhanyong, member of the standing committee of the party committee and vice president of our school, and Ban Cha, president of Assumption University attended the meeting.
The responsible comrades of the International Exchange Office of our school and the Chinese and Thai deans of the Confucius Institute at Assumption University attended the meeting.
In his speech, Lu Fuping pointed out that 2020 is an extraordinary year. Facing the new normal of epidemic prevention and control, all the staff of the Confucius Institute at Assumption University stick to their jobs, innovate methods, and adhere to both epidemic prevention and control and business development.
Grasp and serve the needs of Thai Chinese learners, and actively carry out Chinese teaching and Chinese cultural exchange activities. The cooperation between the Confucius Institute at Assumption University and the China Foundation Studies Alliance is a useful attempt to adapt to the development of the new era and provides a good model for future sustainable development.
He pointed out that with the strong support of President Bancha, after five years of overcoming difficulties, the Confucius Institute at Assumption University has a certain scale and influence, and has been affirmed by the Thai Ministry of Education and other sectors of society.
Facing the future, I hope that Yi The Confucius Institute at Sancang University can adopt a connotative, characteristic, and sustainable development model to improve the ability to build a comprehensive communication platform, and play a greater role in helping friends from Thailand and other countries learn Chinese and enhance mutual understanding and friendship.
Bancha said that he was very happy to be able to meet all friends of Tianjin University of Science and Technology through a video conference. 2020 is a special and unforgettable year.
Both China and Thailand have suffered from the new crown epidemic, but both countries have achieved success in epidemic control. Very good results, I hope the epidemic will end as soon as possible so that the people of China and Thailand can return to normal life and order.
He pointed out that during the epidemic, the two schools helped each other to overcome the difficulties and deepened their friendship.
The Confucius Institute at Assumption University has overcome many difficulties, innovated Chinese language teaching, Chinese cultural exchange activities, and other methods, and played a role as a comprehensive cultural exchange platform.
Li Zhanyong pointed out in his speech that he will work with everyone to make the Confucius Institute work better. He hopes that the Confucius Institute at Assumption University can earnestly implement the deployment arrangements of the two schools and do the work in detail.
