Undergraduate program

1. Project Information

The length of schooling is 4 years. After completing the required credits and completing the graduation thesis, you will get a graduation certificate and a bachelor's degree. The study mode is full-time.

2. Eligibility for application

2.1 Applicants should be non-Chinese residents with good physical and mental health, good conduct, corresponding academic qualifications, Chinese proficiency, and holding a foreign passport.

2.2 Applicants for undergraduates, generally under 35 years old (inclusive), have a high school degree and have passed the University of Science and Technology Beijing International Student Undergraduate Entrance Exam.

3. Application time

Every year from December 15th to June 15th of the following year. If the application materials are mailed, the postmark date shall prevail.

Note:

Due to the limited number of rooms in the international student dormitory on campus, students who have not checked in successfully must contact off-campus accommodation by themselves;

The Ministry of Education of China stipulates that international students in China must purchase medical insurance in China. Students can check-in and pay the fee on the day of registration. Otherwise, the school will not apply for registration. )

6. How to apply

6.1 Apply online and submit the registration fee (600 yuan).

6.2 Email notification of the test time and take the entrance test (test subjects: Chinese, Mathematics).

English-taught majors, international economics, and trade (1+3 projects), no exam is required.

Note: Regardless of whether you are admitted or not, the registration fee is not refundable.

7. Application materials

7.1 Login to the registration system and fill in the information;

7.2 High school graduation certificate, must be the original or notarized copy in Chinese or English;

7.3 The official transcript of high school must be the original or notarized copy in Chinese or English;

7.4 Copy of passport, which must be a valid ordinary passport;

7.5 Language scores:

a) Study in Chinese: Undergraduate students need to reach HSK4 level;

b) Study in English (English unofficial language): IELTS 5.5 points, or TOEFL 70 points, or another official English proficiency certificate.

7.6 Health certificate; "Physical Examination Form for Foreigners"

7.7 Financial guarantee letter; "Letter of Financial Guarantee (USTB)"

7.8 To apply for a scholarship, fill in the "Scholarship Application Form".

8. Admission results

The Admissions Office of the International Student Center announced the list of admissions at the end of June and sent the "Admission Notice", JW202 form, and other materials in early July.

9. Enrollment time

At the beginning of September each year, the specific time is subject to the "Admission Notice". Admitted students must go through the admission and registration procedures at the University of Science and Technology Beijing in strict accordance with the time specified in the admission notice.

10. Scholarship Information

For specific information and application time of the scholarship, please refer to the website of the International Student Center of the University of Science and Technology Beijing.

10.1 Chinese Government Scholarship-Country Award Project Type A

Apply through the Chinese embassy or consulate abroad, the application time is generally from November to April each year, please check in advance. When filling in the application information for the Chinese Government Scholarship, you must select "University of Science and Technology Beijing" as the first choice of the applying institution. You can contact our school in advance to apply for a "pre-admission notice".

10.2 New Scholarship for International Students of University of Science and Technology Beijing (Undergraduate students)

You can apply to the University of Science and Technology Beijing  International Student Dingxin Scholarship, including full scholarship (tuition, dorm room, living expenses, Insurance), part of the scholarship.

10.3 Beijing Scholarships for Foreign Students

You can apply for the University of Science and Technology Beijing Scholarship for Foreign Students to fund part of the tuition (20,000 RMB/year, 15,000 RMB/year, 10,000 RMB/year, 5000 RMB/year).

10.4 "Belt and Road" Scholarship for Foreign Students in Beijing (Taught in English)

English-taught programs can apply to the University of Science and Technology Beijing for the “Belt and Road” scholarship for foreign students in Beijing to subsidize part of the tuition (20,000 yuan/year; 10,000 yuan/year).

11. Accommodation registration

11.1 International students live in the dorm room on campus, and the dorm room service counter handles the registration procedures with the public security organs.

11.2 International students renting houses outside the school must go through the registration procedures at the local public security agency within 24 hours.

12. Visa

Admitted students are required to apply for a study visa (X visa) to China at the Chinese Embassy with the admission notice and study visa application form (JW201/JW202). Go to the International Student Center to convert the X visa into a residence permit for study within 30 days after arriving in China.
