Country-specific Bilateral Programs
Country-specific bilateral projects are full scholarships or partial scholarships provided by educational cooperation and exchange agreements or consensus reached between China and relevant governments, institutions, schools, and international organizations. This program can recruit undergraduates, postgraduates, doctoral students, general scholars, and senior scholars.
Applicants should apply to the international student dispatching department of their home country.

The language of instruction for international students coming to China under Chinese Government Scholarship is generally Chinese, and some majors of our school can be taught in English (for details, please visit http://admission.whut.edu.cn/ for a professional introduction);
The scholarship funding period is the length of study determined at the time of admission, including the period of professional study and Chinese language tuition (preparatory course). In principle, it cannot be extended.

3. Application path and time
Applicants should apply to the international student dispatching department of their home country within the specified time. The application time is generally from early January to early April. For the specific application time, please check with the international student dispatching department of your home country.
4. Application conditions
(1) Non-Chinese citizens, in good health;
(2) Educational background and age requirements:
● Applicants who come to China to study undergraduate majors must have a high school diploma, excellent grades, and be under the age of 25;
● Applicants who come to China to study for a master's degree must have a bachelor's degree and be under the age of 35;
● Applicants who come to China to study for a doctoral degree must have a master's degree and be under the age of 40;
● As a general scholar, applicants must have a sophomore degree or above, and be under 45 years old;
● As a Senior Scholar, applicants must have a master's degree or above or associate professor or above, and be under 50 years old.
5. Application Process
(1) Apply to the international student dispatching department of your home country and obtain the qualification for recommendation;
(2) Log in to the "Online Application System for Studying in China by the China Scholarship Council" (loginhttp://www.csc.edu.cn/laihuaorhttp://www.campuschina.orgAfter that, click the "Online Application Student Entrance" icon to enter), fill out and submit the application information online, and print the "Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form". The operating instructions of the "China Scholarship Council Online Application System for Studying in China" and the "Accepting Agency Number" can be consulted and obtained from the overseas student dispatching department of the country;
(3) At the same time, log in to the admissions website of Wuhan University of Technology http://admission.whut.edu.cn/, and after completing the online application, send the application number to admission@whut.edu.cn to obtain the pre-admission notice. The relevant person in charge will be in Reply to the email within 5 working days after receiving the email and provide the electronic version of the pre-admission notice. The pre-admission notice is an important supporting material for obtaining the country-specific bilateral award. After receiving the email, please upload it to the China Scholarship Council's online application system for studying in China.
(4) Submit the application materials to the international student dispatching department of your home country within the specified time.
Note: China Scholarship Council and the Wuhan University of Technology do not accept direct applications from individuals. Please make Wuhan University of Technology the only receiving institution, otherwise, the China Scholarship Council has the right to make necessary adjustments to the applicant's application institution.
6. Application materials
(1). "Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form" (filled in Chinese or English);
(2). The highest degree certificate has been notarized. If the applicant is a student at school, he must also submit a certificate of enrollment issued by the school he is attending. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations;
(3). Academic transcripts. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations;
(4). Study or research plan in China. (Not less than 200 words for undergraduates, no less than 500 words for advanced students, no less than 800 words for graduate students), written in Chinese or English;
(5). Letter of recommendation. Applicants for master's and doctoral degrees and senior scholars to study in China must submit two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors, written in Chinese or English;
(6). Applicants under the age of 18 must submit relevant legal documents of their legal guardian in China;
(7). Applicants who have studied in China for more than 6 months must submit a copy of the "Foreigner Physical Examination Form" (the original should be kept by yourself. This form is uniformly printed by the Chinese Health and Quarantine Department and can be accessed on the CSC website HTTP Download from ://www.csc.edu.cn/studyinchina, fill in English). Applicants should strictly follow the required items in the "Physical Examination Form for Foreigners" to conduct inspections. The "Foreigner Physical Examination Form" that is missing, does not have a photo of the person affixed, or the photo is not stamped with a seam seal, is not signed and stamped by the doctor and the hospital is invalid. Because the examination result is valid for 6 months, the applicant is requested to determine the time for the physical examination accordingly;
(8). The pre-admission notice is an important supporting material for obtaining the country-specific bilateral award, please attach it to the application materials;
(9). If you have obtained the HSK score report, please also attach it to the application materials;
(10). Applicants whose native language is not English must submit proof of English proficiency (such as TOEFL or IELTS certificate), and generally require IELTS 5.5, TOEFL 80, and above. If a standardized English test certificate cannot be provided, an English written test or interview is required;
(11) Certificate of no criminal record.
