Chinese Government National Double Scholarship
"Chinese Government National Scholarship" refers to the full scholarship or partial scholarship provided by the Ministry of Education of China by the educational exchange agreements or understandings signed with relevant national governments, institutions, schools, and relevant international organizations. The Ministry of Education of China has entrusted the China Scholarship Council (hereinafter referred to as the "CSC") to be responsible for the enrollment of Chinese government scholarship international students and the management of daily affairs in China.

1.1 According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education of China, the language of instruction for scholarship students studying for a bachelor's degree in China shall be Chinese. Scholarship undergraduates without a Chinese foundation need to take one year of preparatory study after coming to China, and they can start professional study after passing the score.
1.2 Some professional courses for postgraduates and advanced students in some colleges and universities can be taught in English
1.3 The duration of the scholarship is the length of study determined at the time of admission. In principle, it will not be extended.
2. Scholarship content
2.1 Full scholarship
Tuition, accommodation, living expenses, comprehensive medical insurance
2.1.1 Scholarship students are required to conduct experiments or internships beyond the school's teaching plan, and the excess expenses shall be borne by themselves.
2.1.2 According to the regulations, the living expenses of the scholarship will be paid by the school every month from the date of admission of the scholarship students. Freshmen who register before the 15th (including the 15th) of the month will receive a full-month scholarship living allowance; those who register after the 15th will receive a half-month scholarship living allowance. The scholarship living expenses of graduates shall be paid half a month after the graduation date determined by the school. For those who suspend, drop out, or return to China after graduation, the scholarship living allowance will be suspended from next month. The scholarship living allowance will be issued during the school holidays; scholarship students who fail to receive the scholarship living allowance on time due to leaving school during the holiday can be repaid after returning to school. Scholarship students who fail to register on time without applying for leave, leave school for non-health reasons, or are absent from school for more than one month, will stop paying the scholarship living allowance for that month.
2.1.3 Scholarship students who need to suspend their studies due to pregnancy or serious illnesses should return to their home country to give birth or recuperate, and their travel expenses shall be borne by themselves; upon the approval of the school, the scholarship qualifications can be retained for up to one year, but the scholarship living allowance will be suspended during the suspension period. Scholarship students who suspend their studies due to other reasons, their qualifications for scholarships will not be retained.
2.2 Partial scholarship: One or more of the full scholarships.
3. Application channels and application time
Applicants should apply to the foreign student dispatching department of their home country or the Chinese embassy (consulate-general) in their country within the specified time. The application time is generally from early January to early April. For the specific application time, please check with the foreign student dispatching department of your home country.
4. Application conditions
4.1 Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and in good health;
4.2 Educational background and age requirements:
(1) Those who come to China to study undergraduate majors must have a high school diploma, excellent grades, and be under the age of 25;
(2) Those who come to China to study for a master's degree must have a bachelor's degree and be under the age of 35;
(3) Those who come to China to study for a doctoral degree must have a master's degree and be under the age of 40;
(4) Those who come to China as general advanced students must have a high school diploma and be under the age of 45;
(5) Those who come to China for advanced studies must have a master's degree or above or associate professor or above, and be under 50 years old.
5. Application materials (in duplicate)
5.1 "Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form" (filled in Chinese or English, the acceptance agency code of Xidian University is 10701)
5.2 Notarized highest education certificate. If the applicant is a student at school, a certificate of enrollment issued by the school must be submitted separately. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations;
5.3 Academic transcripts. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations;
5.4 Plan to study or research in China. Applicants for master's and doctoral degrees and those who apply for studying in China as advanced scholars must submit a study or research plan in Chinese or English;
5.5 Letter of recommendation. Applicants for master's or doctoral degrees and those who apply to study in China as advanced scholars must submit two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors, written in Chinese or English; applicants within China must issue the Admission Notice from the school they intend to attend 》Or invitation letter;
5.6 Applicants under the age of 18 must submit relevant legal documents of their legal guardian in China;
5.7 A copy of the "Foreigner Physical Examination Form" (the original is kept by yourself. This form is uniformly printed by the Chinese Health and Quarantine Department and can be downloaded from the website of the China Scholarship Council). It is limited to those who have studied in China for more than 6 months and must be filled out in English. Applicants should strictly follow the required items in the "Physical Examination Form for Foreigners" to conduct inspections. The "Foreigner Physical Examination Form" that is missing, does not have a photo of the person affixed, or the photo is not stamped with a seam seal, is not signed and stamped by the doctor and the hospital is invalid. Because the examination result is valid for 6 months, the applicant is requested to determine the time for the physical examination accordingly.
5.8 If you have received the pre-admission notice issued by the host institution of the Chinese government scholarship student, please attach it to the application materials
5.9 If you have obtained the HSK score report, please also attach it to the application materials.
Note: In the order of the above-mentioned materials, the materials are bound in the upper left corner into a book (in duplicate) and submitted to the Chinese embassy (consulate-general) of the sending country or the embassy of the sending country that undertakes enrollment affairs, which will be delivered before April 30 Up to the Scholarship Council, the Scholarship Council does not accept individual applications. Regardless of whether you are admitted or not, the application materials will not be returned.
6. Admission and notification
6.1 The CSC will review the application materials of scholarship applicants, and have the right to make appropriate adjustments to the schools, majors, and length of time selected by the applicants according to the accepting ability and educational system of Chinese universities. The application materials that have passed the review by the Scholarship Council will be forwarded to the relevant schools, and the schools will decide whether to enroll. If the applicant's conditions or application materials do not meet the regulations and requirements, the application will be deemed invalid and will not be accepted.
6.2 Those who apply for undergraduate, postgraduate, or doctoral degree exemption from abroad, if their academic qualifications do not meet the requirements of ordinary Chinese institutions of higher learning, the school will decide on the types of students they will admit or make conditional admissions. Those who need to study Chinese before professional study or take preparatory courses should pass the school entrance examination or related course examinations during the Chinese remedial or preparatory study period before they can formally enter the professional study. Undergraduates receiving preparatory education who fail to pass the examination within the prescribed time limit shall return to the country as a Chinese language major.
6.3 The CSC encourages applicants to contact the school and tutor in advance. If the applicant has already obtained the admission letter or tutor invitation letter from the school, please attach it to the application materials. The CSC will send the application materials to the relevant schools first for admission.
6.4 Applicants who have been admitted by ordinary Chinese institutions of higher learning can be eligible for Chinese government scholarships after they are approved by the Scholarship Council. Each scholarship recipient can only receive one Chinese government scholarship program;
6.5 The Scholarship Council will send the "Admission List", "Admission Notice" and "Visa Application Form for Studying in China" (JW201 Form) to the relevant departments undertaking enrollment affairs before July 31, 2013. Transfer the above documents to the students themselves.
6.6 In principle, scholarship recipients are not allowed to apply for changes to the admission institutions, majors, and duration of study specified in the Admission Notice.
6.7 Scholarship qualifications will not be reserved for those who cannot study in China within the time limit for admission.
