Chinese Government Scholarship

1. Introduction to Scholarship

(1). Scholarship students who choose to teach in Chinese and whose Chinese proficiency does not meet the professional learning requirements must participate in Chinese tuition for one academic year.

Master's degree students: The term of the professional study scholarship is 3 years;

Doctoral students: The duration of the professional study scholarship is 4 years.

(2). Scholarship recipients can teach in Chinese for their majors in China, while some majors can be taught in English.

(3). The duration of the scholarship is the length of study determined at the time of admission, including the period of professional study and Chinese language tuition (1 year). In principle, it will not be extended.

 

2. Application conditions

(1). Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and in good health;

(2). Applicant's academic qualifications and age requirements:

① Those who come to China to study for a master's degree must have a bachelor's degree and be under the age of 35;

② Those who come to China to study for a doctorate must have a master's degree and be under 40 years old.

(3). Scholarship content and standards

① Exempt from registration fee, tuition fee, and on-campus accommodation fee;

② Provide comprehensive medical insurance for international students in China;

③ Provide scholarship living expenses, which will be sent to the students by the school every month.

 

3. Application channels and application time

(1). Applicants need to log in to the "Chinese Government Scholarship Management Information System for Studying in China" http://www.csc.edu.cn/studyinchina to fill in the application information (for the acceptance agency number, please fill in "10755", and the type of study abroad program please select "B ), submit and print the "Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form" online.

(2). The paper application materials should be mailed to the International Student Admissions and Management Office of Xinjiang University International Cultural Exchange College before March 20. Overdue applications will not be accepted. Application materials will not be returned.

Applicants are recommended to mail the application materials through the following courier companies:

Within China: SF Express or EMS; Outside China: DHL.

 

4. Application materials

Applicants must truthfully fill in and submit the following application materials (in quadruplicate) in Chinese or English:

(1). "Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form", is valid only if you need your signature;

(2). A photocopy of the photo page of the applicant's ordinary passport;

(3). The certified highest degree certificate, documents in languages other than Chinese and English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations;

(4). The certified highest academic transcript and the texts in languages other than Chinese and English must be attached with certified Chinese or English translations;

(5). Study and research plan in China (not less than 800 words);

(6). Submit recommendation letters from two professors or associate professors in the student's country of expertise;

(7). "Foreigner Physical Examination Form" (copy, the original should be kept by yourself), the applicant should strictly follow the required items in the "Foreigner Physical Examination Form", missing items, no photo or no cover on the photo Riding a seal, the "Foreigner Physical Examination Form" without the signature and seal of the doctor and the hospital is invalid, and the result of the examination is valid for 5 months from the date of registration;

(8). If you have obtained the HSK score report (valid for 2 years), please also attach it to the application materials.

 

5. Apply for majors

(1). Majors taught in Chinese

①Master's degree: international politics, law, civil engineering, detection technology and automation equipment, control theory and control engineering, textile engineering, electrical theory and new technology, power electronics, and power transmission, high voltage and insulation technology, power system and its automation, Social Security, Administrative Management, Tourism Management, Business Management, World Economy, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Zoology, Botany, Russian Translation, Russian Interpretation, English Translation, Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics, Russian Language and literature, geological resources and geological engineering, English language and literature, mechanical engineering, architectural design and theory, bioengineering, food engineering, modern and contemporary Chinese literature, linguistics and applied linguistics, food science, agricultural products processing and storage Engineering, computer science and technology.

②Doctor: World Economics, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology, Zoology, Botany, Applied Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature, Linguistics, and Applied Linguistics.

 

(2). Majors taught in English

①Master's degree: Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Zoology, Botany, Mathematics, Tourism Management, Software Engineering, Bioengineering, Food Engineering, Statistics, Food Science, Agricultural Products Processing, and Storage Engineering, computer science, and Technology.

②Doctor: Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Zoology, Botany, Mathematics, Applied Chemistry.

 

6. Admission and notification

(1). Xinjiang University will organize experts to conduct preliminary screening and online interviews of applicants' application materials, select candidates to be admitted, and submit them to the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Education Department and China Scholarship Council for review. Those who meet the requirements will be selected for admission;

(2). In early July, Xinjiang University sent the "Admission Notice" and "Visa Application Form for Studying in China" (JW201 Form) and other admission materials to scholarship recipients;

(3). Each scholarship recipient can only receive funding from one Chinese government scholarship program. For scholarship applicants who have been admitted to multiple universities at the same time, the CSC will only reserve the scholarship qualification for one school;

(4). Scholarship recipients are not allowed to change their admission institutions after enrollment. In principle, they are not allowed to change their majors and duration of the study;

(5). Scholarship qualifications will not be reserved for those who cannot register in China within the time limit for admission.

Note: Xinjiang University does not charge any intermediary fees for enrolling Chinese government scholarship students.
