"One belt, one road" MBA scholarship

1. Application conditions

The “Belt and Road” International MBA graduate students focus on training non-Chinese citizens from countries along the “Belt and Road”, mainly in South Asia and Southeast Asia. The specific application requirements are as follows:

1.1 Non-Chinese citizens who are in good health, are 18 to 45 years old, and are willing to abide by the laws of the People's Republic of China and the school regulations and disciplines of our school;

1.2 Have completed undergraduate education in a Chinese university, or recommended by a foreign school or other relevant institution, and have a foreign undergraduate degree or a degree recognized by the Ministry of Education of China (certificates other than Chinese and English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations);

1.3  Have a basic knowledge of Chinese and reach HSK4 level.

 

2. Enrollment number, training method, and degree award

2.1 Number of students enrolled

It is planned to enroll 30 people in 2017, and the specific enrollment quota will be adjusted according to the plan.

 

2.2 Training methods

2.2.1 "One Belt One Road" international MBA students will be in the same class with full-time Chinese MBA graduate students, and the whole course will be taught in Chinese, except for business English;

2.2.2 The school system is 3 years, and the flexible school system is implemented, and the study time is no more than 4 years;

2.2.3 The training method emphasizes the close integration of theoretical study and practice, including:

(1) Classroom learning: Based on teacher's teaching, MBA teaching especially emphasizes classroom discussion, case teaching, and extracurricular materials reading. Students will form various study groups to conduct case discussions, literature reading, and study exchanges.

(2) Series of lectures: domestic and foreign experts, corporate executives, and government officials are specially invited to give special lectures to MBA students on China's economy, policies, and social culture.

(3) Professional practice: carry out on-site inspections, research, diagnosis, and analysis of related companies.

(4) Enterprise communication: exchange and interact with people in the international business community, understand the characteristics of corporate culture and corporate management and operation characteristics, and establish an international business cooperation platform.

 

2.3 Degree award

After completing the required courses (45 credits or more) and thesis defense, and reaching HSK level 5 upon graduation, it is approved by the Degree Evaluation Committee of Yunnan University of Finance and Economics to obtain a master's degree in business administration (MBA) from Yunnan University of Finance and Economics.

 

3. Application procedure

3.1 Application and material review: the applicant himself should apply to the International Project Department of the International Student Management Center of Yunnan University of Finance and Economics or the MBA Education Center of the Business School of Yunnan University of Finance and Economics; relevant materials of the applicant must be submitted and reviewed by Yunnan University of Finance and Economics, The required materials are as follows:

3.1.1 Academic degree certificate (please provide corresponding certificates according to your own situation)

(1) Applicants who have completed undergraduate education in a Chinese university should provide the original and photocopy of the undergraduate certificate and degree certificate of the Chinese university;

(2) Applicants recommended by foreign universities and other relevant institutions shall provide foreign undergraduate certificates and degree certificates recognized by the Ministry of Education of China, as well as recommendation letters issued by foreign universities and other relevant institutions;

(3) Fresh graduates provide original and photocopy of student ID.

3.1.2 Original and photocopy of passport;

3.1.3 Original and photocopy of HSK score certificate;

3.1.4 10 photos, size 4 × 6 cm.

3.2 Interview: The interview will be organized by Yunnan University of Finance and Economics.

3.3 Confirmation of admission: After review and approval by Yunnan University of Finance and Economics, and through a uniformly organized interview, after agreeing to admit, send an email to the applicant for confirmation. At the same time, prepare "Visa Application Form for Studying in China" (JW202) and "Admission Notice" for applicants;

3.4 Mailing materials: The International Student Education Management Center of Yunnan University of Finance and Economics will send the "Admission Notice" and the approved "Visa Application Form for Studying in China" (JW202) to the applicants;

3.5 Visa application: Applicants should bring the "Admission Notice", "Visa Application Form for Studying in China" (JW202), "Physical Examination Form for Foreigners" and other relevant materials to the Chinese embassy (consulate) in their country Apply for a study visa (X) and report to the International Student Education Management Center of Yunnan University of Finance and Economics within the specified time. After registration and payment, the International Student Education Management Center is responsible for assisting in changing their visa to a residence permit for study, and relevant expenses are borne by themselves;

3.6 Confirmation of admission: After receiving the "Admission Notice" and "Visa Application Form for Studying in China" (JW202), applicants must reply to the email within the specified time to confirm whether they decide to study in our school. If you cannot register on time due to special reasons, you must send an email to the International Student Education Management Center.

 

4. Tuition and reward policy

4.1 Tuition

The tuition fee is 25,000 yuan/year, and all tuition fees are charged at the standard of 75,000 yuan/three years;

 

4.2 Reward policy

In 2017, the plan awards and subsidizes 10 students, of which 5 students will be provided with full scholarships, and 5 students will be provided with partial scholarships. The number of awards will be expanded and adjusted with external funding. The specific scholarships are as follows:

 

4.2.1 Full scholarship

Applicants ranked 1-5 in the unified examination will be provided with a full scholarship for a total of three years during the study period, specifically:

4.2.2 Partial scholarship

Candidates ranked 5-10 in the unified examination will be provided with a partial scholarship of 25,000 yuan/year to pay for the tuition. The study period will be funded for a total of three years. The specifics are:
