Visa guide

A. Visa and related content

1. Visa validity period

The validity period of a visa refers to the period of time from the date of issuance of the visa to the period after which entry is allowed. If this period is exceeded, the visa is invalid.

2. Visa stay period

The stay period of a visa refers to the time allowed for the holder to stay after entering the country. The difference between it and the validity period of a visa is that the validity period of a visa refers to the period of use of the visa, that is, the holder can enter or pass through the country within a specified time.

If a person applies for a Chinese entry visa with a validity of 3 months and a stay period of 15 days, he can enter China on any day within 3 months from the date of issuance. However, from the day of entry to the day of departure, Witnesses can only stay in China for 15 days.

The stay period of the study visa (X1) issued by the Chinese embassy abroad is generally 30 days.

3. Number of valid visas

Visas are generally divided into one-time valid visas, two-time valid visas, and multiple valid visas.

One-time valid visa, that is, within the validity period of the visa, it will be invalid once used;

Two-time valid visa, that is, it can be used twice within the validity period of the visa

Multiple valid visas, that is, the licensee can enter and exit his country multiple times during the validity period of the visa.

The study (X1) visa issued by the Chinese embassy abroad is generally a one-time valid visa, which can be converted into a residence permit after entry, and the residence permit is a multiple-valid visa.

Note: Foreign students must hold ordinary passports and valid study visa X to study in China.
