1. Airport/train station to campus

Departing from Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport

Xiaoshan International Airport is located in Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou, about 27 kilometers west of the urban area. Flights in and out of Hong Kong from Xiaoshan Airport connect more than 50 important destinations in China and overseas, including Beijing, Guangzhou, Xi’an, Kunming, Hong Kong, Macau, Taipei, Seoul, Busan, Tokyo, Osaka, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bangkok, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, and Sydney, etc.
Airport bus information: (Fare: RMB 20)
The airport bus departs every 15 to 30 minutes to the Wulinmen Civil Aviation Ticket Office in the center of Hangzhou. The one-way trip takes about 50 minutes.
After arriving at the Wulinmen Civil Aviation Ticket Office (No. 390 Tiyu Road), you can take a taxi to the back gate of Xixi Road, Yuquan Campus, Zhejiang University. After entering the campus, walk forward about 100 meters, and the International Education Building is on your left.
Reminder: Within the designated registration time for international freshmen, the International Education Institute provides group freshmen with pick-up service at Xiaoshan Airport.
 
 

Departing from Shanghai Pudong International Airport

Pudong International Airport is located in the Pudong New District of Shanghai, about 30 kilometers east of downtown Shanghai.

Shanghai to Hangzhou: 10:30 12:00 13:30 15:30 17:30 19:00
Hangzhou to Shanghai: 07:00 08:30 10:30 12:30 14:00 16:00
The airport bus takes about three and a half hours to reach Huanglong Sports Center in downtown Hangzhou from Pudong Airport. Huanglong Sports Center is about 500 meters away from the Yuquan campus and Xixi campus, and about 7 kilometers away from Zijingang and Huajiachi campuses. When you arrive at the sports center, the Yuquan campus of Zhejiang University is actually within walking distance. Of course, given that you may have taken a lot of luggage, you still need to take a taxi to the back gate of Xixi Road, Yuquan Campus, Zhejiang University. After entering the campus, walk forward about 100 meters, and on the left is the International Education Building.
 
 

Depart from Hangzhou Chengzhan Railway Station

Hangzhou is the railway hub of Zhejiang Province, so it is very convenient to get in and out of Hangzhou by train. Zhengzhou Railway Station is the main railway station in Hangzhou.
After you arrive at Hangzhou Chengzhan Railway Station, you can take a taxi to the back gate of Xixi Road, Yuquan Campus of Zhejiang University. After entering the campus, walk forward about 100 meters, and the International Education Building is on your left.
 
 

2. City traffic

bus

There is a bus network extending in all directions within the urban area of Hangzhou. Most buses use the one-ticket system, and the fare is usually:
Air-conditioned vehicles are 2 yuan or 3 yuan
(the ones with "K" before the line number are air-conditioned vehicles);
1 yuan or 1.5 yuan for non-air-conditioned vehicles;
The fare of a tourist bus or sightseeing bus is usually 3 to 5 yuan.
Most of the buses in Hangzhou are unmanned, so no change is needed. Therefore, passengers must prepare their own change before getting on the bus, or they can buy bus IC cards.

The condition of taxis in Hangzhou is relatively good nationwide. The fare is paid according to the amount displayed by the meter, starting at 10 yuan for the first 3 kilometers and 2 yuan per kilometer thereafter.
