To attract outstanding students from all over the world to study in our school, expand the scale of international students, improve the level of international students, improve the school's international running ability, and enhance the school's internationalization level, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law has established "Scholarships for International Students in China".

 

Chapter 1: Scholarships for International Students in China Content

Article 1: Types of funding

Scholarships for International Students in China sponsors outstanding foreign students to study for bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees.

 

Article 2: Funding for majors

Students can choose majors in nine disciplines, including economics, law, management, philosophy, literature, history, science, engineering, and art, and the professional catalog of the enrollment guide issued by the school that year shall prevail.

Scholarship students are required to conduct experiments or internships beyond the school's teaching plan, and the excess expenses shall be borne by themselves.

● Scholarship living expenses: The standard is 2,500 yuan/month. Scholarship students who register before the 15th (including the 15th) of the month will receive a full-month scholarship living allowance; those who register after the 15th will receive a half-month scholarship. living expenses.

Chapter 2: Application Conditions and Procedures

Article 1: Application path and time

Applicants directly apply for Scholarships for International Students in China to the School of International Education, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, and submit application materials from March 1 to May 31 each year by the school's regulations.

 

Article 2: Basic conditions for applicants

1. Applicants should be foreign citizens with foreign nationality and ordinary foreign passports, with good conduct, friendly to China, and no criminal record.

2. Students who apply for Scholarships for International Students in China Zhongnan University of Economics and Law to study for a bachelor's degree should have a Chinese proficiency level of HSK 4 or above (including level 4) at the time of application, and have good high school grades.

3. Students who apply for the Scholarships for International Students in China Zhongnan University of Economics and Law to study for Chinese-taught postgraduate qualifications should have a Chinese proficiency level of HSK5 or above (including level 5), good university grades, and a GPA of 3.0 or above (including 3.0).

4. Students who apply for the Scholarships for International Students in China Zhongnan University of Economics and Law to study for an English-taught postgraduate degree should have an English proficiency of 6.5 or more (including 6.5) or TOEFL or more than 90 (including 90) at the time of application. Good grades, with grade points above 3.0 (including 3.0). Applicants whose native language is English do not need to submit IELTS or TOEFL scores.

 

Article 3: Applicants need to submit the following information

1. "Application Form for Scholarships for International Students in China of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law" (uniformly printed by Zhongnan University of Economics and Law).

2. Notarized copies of the highest degree certificate and academic transcripts and graduation certificates.

3. For study plans in China, no less than 200 words for undergraduate programs and no less than 1,500 words for graduate programs.

4. "Foreigner Physical Examination Record".

5. Applicants for a bachelor's degree must provide a recommendation letter from the middle school they graduated from, and an applicant for a master's or doctoral degree must provide two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors.

6. Applicants for Chinese-taught programs are required to provide HSK Level 4 or above; for English-taught programs, IELTS transcripts (6.5 or above) are required, except for applicants whose native language is English.

7. Copy and photo of applicant's passport.

 

Article 4 Admission and coming to China of scholarship students

After a preliminary review of the applicant's application materials, the International Education Institute will submit the qualified application materials to the school Scholarships for International Students in China review committee, which will decide whether to grant scholarships and the types of scholarships. The International Education Institute generally informs applicants of the scholarship review results before June 1 each year.

For scholarship applicants, the School of International Education will generally send the school’s "Admission Notice", "Visa Application Form for Studying in China" (JW202 Form), and other documents to the applicants by mail before July 15 each year.

Admitted scholarship students should apply to the Chinese embassy or consulate to study in China with a valid ordinary passport, the school’s "Admission Notice", the "Visa Application Form for Foreigners Studying in China" (JW202 Form), and the "Foreigner Physical Examination Record" Apply for a visa and come to China with the above-mentioned documents, and go to the school to go through the registration procedures at the time specified by the school.

 

Chapter 3: Scholarships for International Students in China Semester Assessment

Article 1: To strengthen the management of Scholarships for International Students in China of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, and give full play to the benefits and role of scholarships, all students who have obtained Scholarships for International Students in China must participate in the scholarship semester assessment. Semester assessment refers to a comprehensive evaluation of scholarship students every semester to determine whether they have the qualifications to continue to enjoy or resume the Scholarships for International Students in China of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law.

 

Article 2: The content of the semester assessment is:

1. Academic performance, including examinations and assessment results of various subjects during the assessment semester;

2. Learning attitude and attendance;

3. Behavior performance and rewards and punishments.

 

Article 3: The School of International Education of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law is responsible for the organization and implementation of the semester assessment. According to the specific methods and evaluation criteria of the semester assessment, it will assess whether the scholarship students have the qualifications to continue to enjoy or resume the Scholarships for International Students in China, and propose "Passed" or "unqualified" assessment opinions, decide on whether to continue to provide or suspend or cancel the scholarship.

 

Article 4: Those who have one of the following circumstances shall be suspended for one semester of scholarship qualification:

1. Due to unsatisfactory examination results or unqualified examination results;

2. Subject to disciplinary sanctions such as serious warnings, demerits, or detention in school;

Those who have been suspended from Scholarships for International Students in China will have their scholarships suspended from the beginning of the next semester, but they can apply for self-finance or waived part of their fees by the relevant regulations of the school to continue their studies. Before the expiration of the suspension period, upon application, you can participate in the semester assessment of this semester. If you pass the assessment, the scholarship can be resumed from the next semester after approval.

 

Article 5: In any of the following circumstances, the qualification for the scholarship will be canceled:

1. Those who are ordered to withdraw from school or expelled from school;

2. Failure to pass the semester assessment twice during the school study period;

3. Failing to participate in the semester assessment without a valid reason.

Those who have been disqualified from the Scholarships for International Students in China will have their scholarships suspended from the date of the announcement, and their eligibility for Scholarships for International Students in China shall not be restored.

 

Article 6: The semester assessment shall be conducted according to the following procedures:

1. Scholarship students must receive and truthfully fill in the "Scholarships for International Students in China Semester Assessment Form" (hereinafter referred to as the "assessment form") according to the time and requirements stipulated by our school, and submit it to International Education within the prescribed time limit. College.

2. By the requirements and standards of the semester assessment, the International Education College will fill in the assessment opinions and suggestions into the "assessment form", and the college will notify the scholarship students of the assessment decision.

 

Chapter 4: Supplementary Provisions

Article 1: The International Education Institute is responsible for the interpretation of this method.
